As soon as you do another 2000 Pro deal I'm getting a second one…I shall continue to wait

    • Im waiting for this too!

    • Just message Scott the owner, he often does below the market prices.

      • +1

I have a couple of times, I bought the last one during the last Black Friday sale, wanted a second one ever since but they couldn’t offer it that cheap again, was hoping this BF I could get a second one if it came up for a good price

        • +1

same man, this is the last step in a 7.2.4 home theatre setup. these have been consistently around 2100 for most of the year. Hoping for this or a very cheap PB4000 lol

  • +16

Love the “last sold online” part, should be an ACCC mandate. Nice

    • Wonder if it means that it was listed at that price or that someone actually bought it at that price.

      • +7

No need to wonder, it was sold at that price…

    • sick mate….. sick….. subwoofer!!

  • +1

Bought a used SVS 3000 Micro about 2 weeks ago before this sale.
Best spent ever on my audio journey.

    • Also have one as I needed something low key and compact for my lounge room. Very big space with high ceilings so I was worried about this sub not having the guts, but it packs a hell of a punch.

      • Good to know as my living area has a big space and almost 5m ceilings had been umming about that sub…

        • +2

As with any sub, you'll need to work on placement where possible - I compromised somwhat and I am also using the soundpath wireless for placement flexibility. Don't expect big wall-shaking doofs that you'd get from the larger drivers and boxes.

          • +1

@Tock: Yea I’ve got a dedicated media room which has my toddlers toys throughout so that is where the big doofs will go with a pb1000 pro or 2000 my old monitor audio bronze sub gave up (amp busted) so I’ll just replace and fix that later. This was more for the upstairs living so I can still enjoy decent audio in movies

  • Svs pb 1000 pro is an amazing sub!

    • Our all time best selling subwoofer by some margin. Fantastic product.

  • I have a PB 1000 Pro, highly recommend it.

Seriously considering an upgrade to one of the 3000 models.

    • +1

The 3000 series are very impressive. They have some serious output.

      • I was wondering if you have any insight on the performance of the SB3000 vs the PB1000. That is a great price for the SB3000.

The SB's smaller dimensions would be a better fit for my living room (currently have my PB1000 off in a corner turned sideways as its too big to fit anywhere else), but I was wondering if the large cone and great amplification makes up for the typically better extension at 16hz-30hz region of most ported subs.

The shorter depth of the SB3000 means I could move it in a more central location and have it turned to face the sitting space.

        • +4

SB3000 will have tighter more accurate bass. SB3000 also has alot more output (even down low) when compared to the PB-1000 PRO. You can get the SPL vs Freq graphs for both models from the SVS website and put them on top of each other to see this. If you wanted to reach out on our website I can send you the image showing this, as can't attach images here.

  • i got the 3000 for $1900 a few months ago. amazing sub

  • Love a good SVS deal

  • +1

    come on, PB2000pro deal please!!!

  • +3

Can we get a PB2000 pro deal on par with last years pls?

    • if they can match….or better :) the last price, SOLD!

    • Yep that's what I'm waiting on too

  • Any benefit in having of two of these in a roughly 3.5 x 3.5 room or is it better to get a bigger single unit?

    • Having multiple subwoofers is a good idea when setup/calibrated correctly, as it helps even out the bass response across all the seats and can help level out across the frequency range with smart placement.

    • +3

Whilst, on a technical level, I agree with the store rep.

A 3.5m by 3.5m room is not big at all. You do not need 2 subs.

TBH if you're starting fresh, just trial 2 large floor standing speakers without subs, a lot of quality/larger ones have enough bass in them a sub isn't 'needed' per se… But if you've got bookshelfs' already then yeah nab a sub, but I feel like this sub is overkill for that room unless you've got it sound treated/isolated as well?

      • +3

Probably should clarify if @pooran is asking about HT or purely music. Would definitely get a sub if the former, regardless of speaker size

      • +4

It wasn't a question of wether that room needs two subwoofers or needed a subwoofer at all. It was wether there are benefits of running multiple PB-1000 Pro subwoofers in that room compared to running 1 larger subwoofer.

Floorstanders are not going to replace the need for a subwoofer(or multiples) within a home theatre, if you want that cinematic experience.

The main benefit of adding more subwoofers is to not to increase the output but to improve the quality of the bass seat to seat and help with the room nodes which are determined by the rooms dimensions.

      • +1

        I disagree with this advice.

2 large floorstanding speakers would require a beefy amplifier to run properly.

With a smaller room, you're likely to be better off with smaller main speakers and a standalone subwoofer. The subwoofer amp will take care of driving the bass, whilst the receiver or stereo amplifier will look after the mid-high tones.

        • That's a fair point.

I'm personally a bookshelf and sub kinda guy tbh but living room currently has a 2.0 edifier s3000 pro set just because they were great value. And have a surprising amount of bass. I moved away from a receiver and 3.1 setup just because the wires were killing me lol. I wanted a simpler setup…

          • +1

@ReaperX22: I feel you dude. I've moved to active speakers with sub out. Loving the simplicity.

    • Thanks for the responses. I already have a 7.1 system setup for cinema experience. All the speakers are bookshelf speakers and I already have a SVS Pro. The room has sound insulation in the walls. I have calibrated my setup with Dirac.

I'm quite happy with this setup but was curious to know if there's much (if any) advantage over 2 units vs 1 bigger unit for a small room. I also don't have many options to place 2 subs so they'll have to be in both the front corners.

      • +1

You'd be better off having 2 subs in opposing corners. 2 subs facing the same direction would potentially add energy where unnecessary and exacerbate certain unwanted frequencies.

The point of multiple subs is to remove dead spots and widen the sweet spot.

  • What amp and bookshelf speakers have people paired up with the SB-1000 subwoofer?

  • Will this pair well with my Crossley briefcase TT and Edifier BT speakers?

  • I have an SVS SB2000 non-pro.

How does the SB1000 pro compare to that?

    • +1

Would be an interesting comparison. As the Pro series were new drivers and amplifiers over the original classic series. I'd say the original SB2000 would still have a little more output though.

      • I got the SB2000 last year. A great sub for the money. More than enough bass for my living room setup. I think it's hard to go wrong with any SVS particularly on sale

      • I guess we wont be seeing a deal on the PB2000pro as a few have requested?

        • There won't be an advertised deal on the PB2000 Pro. You can reach out directly through our site and we can see what we can do for a one off special.

      • Thanks for the reply. Would you also say the SB2000 Pro would be a noticeable improvement over the SB2000 non-Pro?

        • Yes, they have improved driver, amplifier and also app control which allows you to have some advanced DSP/EQ features.

  • I have the SVS SB-1000 Pro, and I'm very happy with it.

  • +1

I get that “pro” means “better” in some cases like iPhones but I think that calling speakers that would never be used in any type of professional music setting “pro” actually does it a disservice. I mean I’m sure they’re excellent units, so why slap an obviously implausible label on it.

    • +1

How would using an iPhone be considered in a "professional" setting?

The Pro nomenclature on the SVS subs denote the EXACT same thing as an Apple does with their iPhones - it's a better version of the same series of product.

      • Yeah but this is disingenuous marketing. Just name it PB-1100 instead IMO. Bigger number better, simplifies naming, without the bs of Pro, Max, Plus tacked on.

    • The Pro did bring some major features to the 1000 and 2000 series, which were usually only found in the higher models.
Such as app control, DSP/EQ controls

What is the best one? The most powerful one. I use d to have Jl 4x13w7 in my car.

  • Waiting for SVS PB-2000 Pro deal :)

  • +2

@Customht, are we likely to see any deals on Denon receivers soon? I see they're not part of your Black Friday sale, but historically they seem to get discounted at this time of year?

    • +1

      Yes, later in the month.

We can offer you the deal earlier though, you can reach out via private message on here or through our website to arrange if you wanted.

  • +1

These used to be $995 :( Great subs though, highly recommend trying to get 2 - are killer as a combo
