    I have the Beurer and it definitely works (though I usually use it 4-5 times in succession rather than just once). Can't tell you if the knock off works as well but it isn't complicated technology so I wouldn't doubt it. The Beurer definitely has a way to make sure it gets to (and not beyond) the planned temp. When my hands are cold it is slower, faster when they are warm. Knock off might not do that.

    Snake oil?

    • It works. The way it works is it outpains the itch so your nerves feel the heat instead of the mozzies poison. But you can do the same thing by pressing on the area with something hard like a pen cap.

  • Stingose does it for me. Doesn't need batteries, but the liquid does solidify a little too easily around the cap.

  • Use the cap of a pen and press on the bite area till it hirts a bit. That relieves the itch too.
