I already have a Complete Freedom account with BoM from few months ago, during the $40 cashback after $160 spend at supermarket promo.
Today I tried to open a new St.George Complete Freedom for the $50 bonus. I have selected “Yes” when being asked “Are you already a St.George customer?” Then I put in my BoM login details.
After confirming my personal details and clicking continue, it said “we’re having some problems” and upon logging in now I can see one BoM Complete Freedom and another one Complete Freedom - Application in progress. When I tried to redo the application again it won’t let me, it just says “It looks like you already have an application in progress. Please complete your current application before opening another account”.
Decided to call in 13 33 30 but the rep said it’s because I already have BoM account and I won’t be eligible for the $50 bonus anyway, which as we all know is incorrect. She said there’s nothing I can do right now regarding the pending application, just wait it out for few days it may be eventually opened or just fall off, but since she had given an incorrect info before I didn’t really trust her words.
Anyone have had similar experience? What did you do to solve this?
