yea.. so your supposed to run 500FPS?
lol
minecraft maybe
It's only really for esports games like CS2.
500fps is achievable on high end hardware, and top tier players play on low settings… although really 1440p OLED is wasted if you're playing on low settings at 1024x768 stretched, which puts this sort of monitor in a weird space. I guess it's a compromise "best of both worlds" - you get a pretty OLED for other games, and it's still fast enough to be an esports monitor.
of course it's achievable, duh
bet my left nut most people here would flat out push 120fps at QHD,
good luck dropping 5k on a GPU to drive this
Anyone who plays e-sports titles can tell.
Seems cheap? What's the drawback?
This is cheap?
Yes. It's like saying a 200k house is cheap. It's not cheap but for what it is I feel it's quite cheap. I don't need a 500hz monitor though. Hopefully there is a 4k 240hz one that comes cheaper than this but I doubt it.
Crazy cheap, probably some more good deals coming with black friday. Monitors seem to be getting really cheap
Very good. 1000hz about to drop, 720 hz dropped already.
I dunno about 1000hz about to drop as in very soon.
The first 360hz mon was released Sep 2020. The first 480Hz mon, the PG27AQDP, an Oled, was released August 2024. First 540hz released Oct 2023.
The 720hz is only at 720p.
So yeah I can't really tell when 1000hz will be.
Next year its slated for so not far at all.
720hz dropped for 720p, barely usable resolution.
For comp players its great.
Can claim a $50 USD steam gift card as well
It says the promotion starts on the 10th of November, any idea if we would have any problems redeeming if purchasing now?
Not sure, the google form to submit the claim is already open.
Although the T&C says the purchase needs to be in the promotional period https://docs.google.com/document/d/1t0SJLYqAGIuGv96tUxFVjhNz…
Man, I can't even tell the difference between 120Hz and 240Hz on my Samsung G9.
Bro must have super-duper good vision to get the benefit of 500Hz.
