[Android] Stick - Remote Control TV Pro $0 (Was $2.99) @ Google Play Store

1250

Do you use a smart TV at home? Even if your Android phone doesn't have an infrared (IR) blaster, you can still use this app, 'Stick - Remote Control TV Pro,' to turn your phone into a TV remote control. It works as long as your phone and TV are on the same Wi-Fi network! It supports multiple smart TV brands.

I tried on my Samsung TV/Firecube.
tell if it works on yours.

  • Worked on the firecube? Reckon it'd go on an Echo Show 8 (built in fireTV it says)?

Missus had one that worked on it but she's iPhone, I'll give this one a download with fingers crossed

Is this better than the Google TV app? (for use as remote control control)

    • Yeah Google TV does pretty much everything I want

Thx op, so try, happy with my samsung smartthings remote and hisense vidaa app remote. But a backup is always good

  • Ice cube won’t be happy with this app…😅

  • Tried to connect to Google Chromecast 4K, but it didn't detect it even though both were on the same network, so I couldn't use it.

Just use the Google TV app ;)

      • Yes, have been using it with Pixel 10 Pro XL phone flawlessly.
Thought will give another app a try but it didn't work :D

  • Tried this app on an older ua55h6400aw samsung tv. Unfortunately does not work.

You can get a small USB-C or iPhone plug infra-red dongle, for AU$ 4+ , from AliEx, to use with smartphone and 'their Chinese-developed App'.

      It works pretty good.

  • Connected to our Sony TV. Wouldn't do anything else.

    LG has its own app

  • Works fine on my TCL

  • Tried it on my Sony X90J Google TV. Hoping that it can be used as a keyboard but the function wouldn't work.

Going to have to keep going with my K400R keyboard connected with the USB dongle to use the browsers on the TV. Uninstalled but thanks OP for the headsup.

EDIT - Might see if it works on my Firestick later though.

Seems to be over. It's offering me 3 days free then $6.49 per week. I feel this will inspire me to get of my ass and find the real remote…

Serious? $6.49 per week? That’s tv rental price.

    • Still showing free for me.

  • Got in previous FREE Deal.
With 7yr old Samsung TV, only works after TV is switched on by its remote. Then operates & can turn TV OFF.
Only used when TV was on but couldn't find its remote. So only few times.

    • No better than the built in google tv remote then

  • Wouldn't detect or connect to my Hisense

Thanks. Connected to my Sony A80J and able to use the keyboard in the in built browser.

    • Me too. I’ve got the Same TV.

If you can go to your TV in the Google Home app on your phone, there's already a remote there.

  • Thanks , worked well with Samsung TV.
I just couldnt help but try to turn 'ON' the TV after successfully turning it off via the app 🤣🤣🤣🤣
