Looks like it's a little more complex than that… https://www.optus.com.au/support/answer/how_to_unlock_your_m… has the details - $80 in service payments and it's free. But the interesting one is the "not an Optus customer" where it's $25 regardless of anything else?
Do these normally work with Optus NVNOs? (Amaysim, etc)?
Yet to see one that doesn't…but I'm always about 5 seconds from putting my foot in my mouth.

I tired calling 3 nearby stores (Melbourne inner suburbs), all out of stock from very first day.. 2 different stores says no phone has been delivered since last 3 months..delivery option also says out of stock.. come on Coles, need to stock up items before putting them on sale 😞
My link above to the Optus website deal might come back in stock again. It already has once but now marked as OOS for the 2nd time.
Coles is cheaper.. (i kno its locked but doesn't matter for me)
