    Thats 600 COFFEE'S

Kinda worry about the quality when the company dont even run a spell check before posting the web site

    • I suspect you meant 600 coffees or COFFEES. Since the apostrophe doesn't belong there.

I paid $50 delivered for 20 Mr Coffee Pod refillables six months ago (they are pretty much identical), so good deal for $35.20.

  • +2

you should put the price somewhere in the title…..

Before the "Price in title!!!!" folk wake up

  • +1

The price, son! Tell 'em the price.

  • +6

These things negate every reason for using Nespresso rather than a conventional machine.

    • +4

not if you have someone else fill up the capsules for you lol.

also I think the saving isnt that great? I had worked out that if you buy the absolute most rubbish coffee its going to cost you around 15c per cup (not including the cost of these pods)
However if you spend money on some coffee on par with the original nespresso pods you're problably looking at twice that and obviously more if you want better coffee.

    • +2

Perhaps, but they don't stop you using the normal capsules as well. Gives you the option depending on what you want at the time.

    • Exactly.

These things are a huge FAIL. But there's also a TON of people buying cheap-crap from competing systems/sellers saying "It's the exact same thing…" My ears bleed every time.

But-hey… The market's full of options, for every price & taste. This fence-sitting device belongs on the shopping channel - It seems like a great idea, until you think about it.

  • i dont know how much nespresso coffee pods are but aldi ones are only 38c each. hardly worth the effort.

not compatible with Nespresso style machines.

    • Price varies on range & 'size' (espresso, lungo etc.)
      Averages to 70cents.

It frustrates me that there are no deals, price-drops etc. But it's a rock-solid scheme (some say scam). But if I wanted cheap-coffee, I'd buy the Aldi system. Cheaper machine, cheaper coffee. It's like cheap wine. How low do you go? Only YOU can decide. If it all tastes the same, then start with the cheaper option.

Even with the nespresso & a $600+ machine, I've saved mental amounts of money, plus the convenience. I put 3 shots in a thermos/flask, a couple of ice-cubes & fill with milk. That would cost $15 where I work, and simply isn't practical.

  • I got a Nespresso U Machine, will these capsules be compatible then… ?

  • +1

Its ok, I found this in the compatibility section. "These capsules are compatible with coffee machines which accept Aluminium Nespresso coffee capsules, now including Nespresso U, Latissama, Citiz and Pixie"

  • Just wondering what the optimal grind number is for lattisima + machine. I heard 3.8- 4.0. Anyone know a good link my googling fails me.

  • What happens after 30 uses?

    • +1

      Note: Up to 30 uses.

      I think they don't close properly/warp/leak/distort.

    • We have had capsules last well over 50 uses while testing, however at around the 30 use mark you may see the hinge which holds the lid break off, and some start warping which will make it difficult to close the lid and make the proper seal required

The reason for pods its the simplicity of them, whether you refill them, ,or just plug one in and voila.

  • is it a pain in the ass to refill these things?

    • Not a big deal really…takes me about 20 minutes to clean and fill 2 weeks worth for me and the missus (about 25 pods).

  • What do you fill these with? ( 3.8 grind, fine grind? turkish grind? What has worked best for you so far ? )Thanks

  • +1

I will give it a go. Thanks OP, like the idea of being able to choose my own grinds.
