Electric Shavers

I would like to buy an electric shaver. I Know nothing about them, except what they do of course. Can someone point me in the right direction, my budget would be up to say $200, but for a better one maybe a bit more.

  • I know it's not what you want to hear, but I've found that electric shavers are less reliable and more time consuming than blade shavers, and a newer multiblade shaver is very hard to cut yourself with.

Unless you have a real need to go electric, I'd just buy a shaver, and stock up on grey market heads from deal extreme or similar.

  • Don't be one of 'those' guys, shaving and driving to work.

My personal opinion - Panasonic ES-LA63.. I am using it for almost a year… its wet and dry shaver(i.e. you can use it in shower, with water, without water(not recommended) or with foam/gel…. only set of advise i would give is to not go for shavers which require special cleaning liquids…

I got one of these http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/87052 and it is the most useless shaver i have ever used and i don't think ill ever get another electric razor again. Was glad to be back using my trusty BIC cheapo razors.

  • +1 For Panasonic. I'm now 40 and have owned them all (Braun, Philips etc.) I have an ES8249 now, and I'll always buy Panasonic from now on.

Still shave with a blade once a week, but the Panasonic keeps me trimmed very smoothly on daily shaves.
