    meh ok price
but for anyone who doesnt know this is the series 5 ultrabook which is thicker

if you wanted the top of the range, theres the super slim series 9 or even the series 5 with touchscreen now

theyre all about to be superceded

    • OK price? Good price! I paid $1099 for my one of these just before Christmas!

It's a pretty sweet little computer. I like it a lot.

      • yeh its now mid february 2013 with 4 months to end of financial year. this price is expected. Christmas is not necessarily the cheapest time to buy

and i think you overpaid greatly at that price

is it prices mash or price smash i wonder

      • Sounds like a hybrid HDD/SDD cache deal. They don't make 24GB SSDs as far as I know.

I would be replacing it with a real SSD.

        • I have one of these. Yes, it's a hybrid arrangement. A generic SATA HDD installed in the usual way, and a 24Gb chunk of flash buried somewhere inside the machine. The 24Gb bit shows up as a separate device.

      • It's actually PRICE CRASH, let's get them out of the door quickly or risk a fire-sale later.

  • Looks like it has a 24gb SSD, even though its not very clear.

beware this model is suceptible to a critical UEFI BIOS bug that can brick it
    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/02/11/samsung_uefi_boot_bu…

    • Also be careful if you want to turn this machine into a Hackintosh. There are reports of people bricking it after making what seems like the appropriate BIOS changes to get it to boot an OS X install :-(

  • 500GB S-ATAII Slim Hard Drive (5,400RPM) with ExpressCache 24GB

please see direct link to Samsung Site to confirm

  • tandard DVD OS DVD - but the laptop has no DVD drive!

  • to avoid confusion this has been removed
    "Standard DVD OS DVD"
as these are the specs direct from Samsung Website
