Got an email from Shoppingsquare saying that they have $1 shipping storewide all weekend. Unfortunately as per usual this does not apply to the Computers and IT category. However it does work for the Flash Memory section under Digital Cameras.

When checking staticice Shoppingsquare often have the best prices for this type of memory however their shipping costs are usually prohibitive. The $1 shipping removes that and provides a good opportunity for an upgrade of memory for digital cameras, mp3 players and mobile phones. This is especially so for people that do not live near any of the cheapest computer/office retailers.

Examples:
SanDisk 4GB SDHC SD Card - $12.99 + $1 = $13.99
SanDisk 8GB SDHC SD Card - $24.65 + $1 = $25.65

There are products including SD, SDHC, MicroSD, MemoryStick, Compact Flash etc
from manufacturers like Sandisk, Kingston, Fuji and Sony.

      Same here JPOWER. Every time I see these delivery specials I hope that Computer and IT will be included. Would be nice to get USB sticks and hard drives with $1 postage. As this special includes flash memory maybe they could run a $1 postage special on specific Comp and IT categories? We live in hope.

      Still, if you buy a cheap SDHC card reader form Deal Extreme http://dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.6858 along with a suitable card you can get more USB storage that way. Not quite the same as a Corsair Mini Voyager though ;-)

          I've not had any problems. The DX SDHC card reader is quite solid. Portability is not as solid as USB drive though as you always have the issue of the card sticking out of the back of the reader to a degree. Could carry them separately but that would be inconvenient. It certainly helps me to still use older cards now and then that otherwise would be lying around doing nothing.
