I came across these 2 models and their specs look awesome. Anyone can comment on whether they are good? Only thing that I thought was strange was TF support instead of microSD, but other than that, and the lack of 3G, seems to tick all boxes. Price is cheap too.

Note that TransFlash (TF) is the same as MicroSD.

Hi I recently purchase a 10" Ainol via Graysonline. They are shipped direct to you from China within about 5 days. The first unit I got had a damaged box & screen so got sent back to grays, the 2nd unit was all good but only worked for about 20 days and then died. Again returned…this for a refund. Grays have a very good return policy / customer service.
Points to note: It has the latest version of Android (Jellybean) installed BUT is in chinese. You can change the language to english BUT you have to disable all the chinese built in apps to get rid of them. You can't uninstall them. I also found in the short time that it worked, I was unable to install some apps from google play which whilst were Jellybean compatible…google play did not recognise the device for some apps so just said its not compatible and would not download.
The charger that ships with the unit is a standard 12v charger for china but comes with a austrtalian travel adapter setup. I'm not sure if its normal with tablets in general BUT you can only charge via the adapter not via USB.
The screen resolution was great BUt the switching from portrait to landscape mode did not always work as you moved the tablet around.
I've now decided that if I buy another one it will need to have at least an english/western world language version android preinstalled NOT chinese/asian version. I would also only buy from a dealer that has a very good refund/replacement warranty available. Grays is excellent, I'm not sure about some of ebay sellers.

whether these are high spec or fast tablets or not getting two returns puts a dampener on ever wanting to get one of these at all
TF means SD… using the word "SD" needs a license
