Something cool/useful for $8

So I got a Visa giftcard for $50, and just spent 42 of those dollars on some tickets, leaving me with 8 crisp dollars.

Now $8 may seem like a small sum to the average shopper, but we are not average shoppers. If $8 is gonna get me something awesome, it's going to be on the internet.

So basically, I want suggestions for something (or a combination of things) that's $8. Preferably something that you've bought for cheap, and realised later that it was actually a really great purchase. Throw some ideas at me.

    You could always buy an $8 amazon.com email gift card, add it to your own account which would give you $8 off your next purchase. That's what I did with my last leftover gift card, so that's an idea if you often buy from amazon.

      I don't regularly buy off of Amazon, but I'm not opposed to it either. I wasn't aware you could do this, and this will make a good fall back plan. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Spend the exact amount of money at the petrol station to get the $8.

    spend it at the supermarket. $8 on the gift card, rest in cash or card.
