    This is a good price.
    I picked one up from Amazon for $45 back in November.
    It works well. We also had an after hours doctor visit and he used the exact same unit.

    few bucks cheaper than the normal price to buy from sellers in the UK for (paid $46 at the end of last year), so I wouldn't stress over the 'limited' quantity
    RRP isn't really accurate as its an import at it doesn't sell for $99 in the UK

    sorry but as any good doctor will tell you, especially in home use and particularly for young children due to the size of their ear canal, the ear is not as accurate as the anus, mouth or under the arm

      too true, these things measure light penetration and if you don't point them exactly the right direction they can be off.

        What's the difference between an oral and anal thermometer?

        One tastes like sh*t and the other doesn't.

      The anus is way more accurate than the mouth or arm. No matter how tightly I wedge the thermometer under my arm the reading is always too low by half a degree or so.

      When it comes to taking temperatures, the anus beats them all.

      and as every parent will tell you getting a sick (or healthy) child to hold a thermometer under their arm as long as it takes to stabilise is practically impossible! As a once child myself I'm VERY happy my parents never used a rectal thermometer on me, it would be uncomfortable at the least!

      With two kids under 4 my Braun ear thermometer has been one of the best buys I've made. Quick, easy, painless and more than accurate enough to tell if your child (or yourself) has a fever or not, if your thinking about it don't just BUY ONE :)

    Just to let ppl know. There was a comment in Amazon that theirs was made in Mexico and that some of the other retail stores in America sell a version that is made in Germany (though they usually charge around $50)

    I asked Ozaroo from this ebay posting and they confirmed that this one is made in Mexico.

    It says it comes with 21 x lens filters. Is that something you stick on the tip before putting it into the ear ?
    Where can more of the filters can be bought, at a discount, of course ?

      If they get some wax on them just wipe it off. The lens caps last ages and unlike the docs (lots of different ppl) there is no need to dispose after each use.
