Event Cinemas Free Ticket - Will this deplete my points?

I logged in hoping to use the student $8 ticket deal, which doesn't work. The event website has given me the option of up to 4 free tix.

I want to use my points when they are doing a half points office. Does anyone know if I use this offer, if it depletes my points or is this an over and above free ticket?

    Yes it will cost points.. You 'earned' them from points right?

    FYI your points do expire, use them while you can

    Event have half-price points ticket 'sales' in April and August, from past experience. If you can hold off you'll basically get 2 tickets for the points-price of one.

      yes, i know. that's why i wanted to be sure not to use the points.

      The option of redeeming points for a ticket has never been displayed for me in this manner. I thought that maybe there may have been some promo I wasn't aware of. I think I saw three movies in one week recently, two of them in gold class. Since there was no mention of using points, I was hopeful that this would be an over and above ticket.

        If you are logged in and have enough points for the type of movie you are watching, that's how it shows up. First row, above the Adult ticket.
