    I actually have one of these from back when they were $120+ and its still going strong! Just be aware size wise it is HUGE! But prints scans and faxes and I air print from my iPhone with no probs!

    Does it fax via the net or do you need a phone line? (Am on fibre) thanks.

      You need the line plugged in to fax.
      Scan and print you can do over Wifi or Usb.
      But I think you can fax your scans using faxing software, but i never tryed it..

    If you're in the market for a new all-in-1 printer, suggest that you also check out the Lexmark Office Edge Pro 4000 from Gray's Online - $69 delivered. Just got one and very happy with it.

      If you want cheap ink and/or reusable ink cartridges stick with Canon. Lexmark is false economy.

    I believe I saw that there are new Canon models just out, DSE catalogue, so I wonder if its worth to buy the new equivalent model instead, can anyone else shed any info on this. Im in the market for something like this but unsure on what to do.

      depend on what the new model does?
      else, printing & scanning resolution + ink wise!

      they should be all the same! they print & scan!(& fax) :-P
