Safety shoes needed

Hi, I am doing a course for personal development. I bought some steel blue ladies steel capped boots. These are adequate, but I'd like to find some footware with softer soles and very comfy insides.

I believe the only safety requirement is they must have a protected toe.

Does anyone have any suuggestions on brnads to look for? I would like some that are available to try on before buying. I live in Perth. I am happy to make the actual purchase online however.

TIA

  • In my opinion Oliver are the most comfortable safety shoes. But they are not cheap. Plenty of places in WA stock them. I just put the postcode in the distributors tab and a heap came up. http://www.oliver.com.au/default.htm

  • I find steel blue to be the most comfortable.
    They're light and pretty cushioned.

  • I'd have to agree with Oliver work boots, especially the Jogger style looking ones. They are pretty comfy…although i've only been wearing them for a few days i can't rate them enough. Before that i had hard yakka boots and they would hurt my feet everyday.

  • I wore the steel blue for about 5 hours today. No sitting and mostly standing. Not walking much. My feet feel okay. After 7 or 8 hours, I do get more fatigued, but I am not sure it is the boots or that I am just a lazy beatch.

Totally workware, where I bought the steel blue boots recommended them for the orthopaedic properties. There were some more shoe type offerings that seemed slightly lighter, but they were not recommended.

I'm just looking to see what is potentially better so I can try them on at leisure and wait around for a 80% off sale or similar and perhaps pick up a second pair. I will need to actually have tried them on etc, before I am willing to spend more money cuz I am relatively happy with the steel blues.

Thanks all. I will seek out the Olivers and try them on.
