      Home Couture 1000TC Egyptian Queen Sheet Set - $59.95 + $995 shipping from OO.com.au

seems they have learnt a thing or 3 from COTD….

    • Ha! Already corrected …

I've purchased a 1000TC Egyptian queen sheet set from eBay in the past…

The main thing I noticed is compared to the sheets of the same specs from Aldi they were very poor quality and didn't feel like what I thought Egyptian cotton felt like (the Aldi set felt really nice to touch)

No idea how to know if this is worth it.

    • I checked ebay for 1000TC and found in the specs they were 25% Polyester. Not a good material except for durability.

Did a search and found that other Home Couture egyptian sets are 25% egyptian cotton 75% "pure cotton"

Is oo.com.au correctly describing this set?

    • Good question. I used to work with my dad in tailoring and know the look and feel of quality material so will post what I find when it arrives, but that will be long after the deal ends. But still goes on the record for future reference …

From what I can find though the price is right.

  • Update; Mine arrived 1/2 hour ago and very pleased with the item, 100% cotton - can't say if they are 100% Egyptian though, or what quality exactly. But for the price and in my experience they are worth it. Sizes are generous, TC is accurate by feel and weight. Silky smooth. If I'd known I'd have had a second set for making a summer bathrobe, maybe next time.

The Egyptian cotton stuff I got from Aldi had a certificate confirming it.

      • There is a multitude of qualities of Egyptian though. But as you say above; Really nice to touch.
