According to the facebook page for The Voice in the above link people waited hours today only to leave disappointed and noone with GA tickets being let in.
I am truly sorry for posting the tickets now after what happened today. I am aware the tickets said no guarantee entry but based on the comments on the facebook page getting tickets seemed like a waste of time. I just wanted to warn anyone planning to travel far for Monday's show.
How's it going. I did the trip up from Canberra to go to The Voice on Mon, was going to GNR the next night anyway so thought another night in Syd would be good. I joined the line roughly 2 - 2.5 hours before the doors opened, was in the first quarter or so of the line.
I didn't get in, but a whole heap of people didn't get in. From my estimation I'd say that perhaps between 30-50 people in the general admission (non-vip) line got in and the rest 200-300 didn't. All the VIPs got in (which is good).
I read that the Voice audition tickets were given out to excess, roughly 700 more than capacity, which is leaving a whole heap more people staying out than getting in.
You don't have to be sorry, it's not your fault. Also afterwards I ended up going to the Fox Studios cinema and watching "Flight" which was great! So it wasn't all a bad day.
