Wish other deals were so easy, forgot about not having to leave the couch, I'm even lazy to leave this site.

      Thx a ton

At least this time there's no difference in price for the e-book between Australia and other countries.

Must.. Not.. Read.. Might inspire me to take another holiday…

Pretty safe. Vast majority will be armchair travellers… Or sitting in paradise, only to fill their ears with their iPod & their eyes with New Idea.

The few are too busy travelling to read.

Travel books… Using the grid to promote getting off it, since 1979.

(all tongue in cheek, just chill)

      • I love tongue in cheek! :-P

Hobart no. 7 in the top cities list!

    • +3

Not surprising!! I always rave about Hobart to people overseas.
Small, interesting arts, great local food & wine - all without pretension.
Where else can you walk from sunny fishing boats (and great seafood meal) to possibly snow at 1271m in same city. Plus great history, quaint cottages, & a quaint historic brewery in between. Its pretty unique.

Totally agree, big fan of Hobart (and Tassie). So scenic.

Is that an affiliate link in the link?

    • Looks like it.

      • It's from Lonely Planet's Official Twitter Account. Just a tracking link that shows where the traffic is coming from. More than likely they have put this out of multiple channels like Facebook as well with different affil= tags.

    • What's that

Credit where it's due - peterlong1952 found it first. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/95300

Also, basic maps for free here: http://media.lonelyplanet.com/ebookmaps

Great that it's free, so +1 from me, though in reality it's a pretty useless book. Hardly any information at all on the places featured. In other words, they just want you to see a featured place then buy their guidebook.
