  • I haven't used them but are you sure Skiddoo is the only place selling flights for that price? The website of the carrier could possibly be cheaper

  • cheers

did look, works out the same. except skiddoo didnt have a cc fee or something

  • Hey there, this is Skiddoo here and thought we'd take the time to introduce ourselves. We're an Australian owned and operated company with a large selection of discount flights online. We have a dedicated team in Sydney to assist you with your travel needs and because we have no international booking fees or credit card fees it’s cheap to book!

  • why dont you do multi city flight options???

    • Hi there, we currently don't have a multi-stop feature on our site however if you want to contact one of our travel agents they will be more than happy to help you with your itineracy. Give us a call on 1300 754 336 or email [email protected]

  • I just wanted to inform people about this website, considering the OP is looking for opinions and I couldn't find any reviews before I booked flights with Skiddoo. I just thought I'd share my experience:

I booked flights for my wedding on 12 June. On 21 June Skiddoo called to say two of my flights were cancelled. (Actually one of the flights did not seem to exist) They did not have other flights that suited my schedule so I requested a refund.

I needed the cash back ASAP to book alternate flights for my wedding.

Skiddoo agreed to a refund but said they would not issue one for TWO MONTHS. So I am now down three thousand dollars while planning my wedding and Skiddoo have hidden behind their terms and conditions. I actually spoke to the company owner who had the cheek to ask me on the phone "Are you telling me you don't have the funds to book another flight?"!!

So be aware of the terms and conditions! The flights can be cancelled by Skiddo or by the airline and they can/will keep your money for weeks and weeks, even if you paid them immediately in good faith by credit card. It has been 22 days and I still have not received my refund. They've pretty much ruined budgeting for our wedding any my fiancée is very upset about it.

    Be warned.

    • wow that is so crap.

i was considering using that site to book some holidays, will not be going anywhere that site now

  • I am a Customer Service Representative with Skiddoo. I have previously responded to these same comments that were posted separately.

I will repeat my response here, for the benefit of those who did not see my first response.

To speak on this scenario generally, firstly airline schedule changes are regretfully sometimes necessary for various operational reasons. Such changes are outside the control of Travel Agents such as ourselves.

The refund process from the airline to the Travel Agent does take up to 8 weeks as the funds pass through IATA (International Air Transport Association, whose Head Office is in Switzerland). There are 2 separate fortnightly billing cycles, firstly from IATA to the Airline, then from the Airline to ourselves. Even if the 2 cycles co-incide, then that is 4 weeks to start with. Then there is the time it takes the airline to approve the refund.
Until all this happens, we are not in possession of the passengers money.

But on a more positive note, I would like to point out that Skiddoo have since revised our policy on such involuntary changes, to reduce customer inconvenience and to improve our overrall customer service. In such cases of passengers who cancel due to an unacceptable schedule change by the airline, will be refunded in full immediately by Skiddoo, and we will carry the debit for the 8 weeks until we receive funds from the airline.

Finally, a general travel tip from someone who has been in this industry for decades, schedule changes and delays do happen occasionally so it is a good idea when planning your itinerary to allow a little bit of leeway in case of such inconveniences. Allowing an extra day, especially when the travel is for an important event that can not be changed, can make all the difference. Airline schedules are always subject to change, and a ticket is not an iron clad guarantee that the airline will get you there at that exact time.

    • I have bought two the same flight ticket in deferent travel agent, one in Bravofly and other is skidoo, but in some reason I have to cancel my travel, I have been asked both of agents for cancelation, then you just sent me a mail to said there is non-refundable, but Bravofly did.
And my E-ticket show the fare condition that cancelation charge shall be as per airline rules!! How can't it non-refundable? Is that just your rules?

  • I used skiddo and i ask for rebooking as it says in the terms and cond that i can rebook it but theyre telling me that they cant do that for me. No refund as well so better not book with them. They are pretty cheap but to tell you they are not friendly

  • Just booked a trip to Europe with skiddo and must say, that after initial problems with booking online decided to call the 130…. number given on web page. What a breath of fresh air. The whole experience so far has been simply pure pleasure. Having business which deals with public myself I tend to be very sensitive to the issue of public relations. From the first contact with the agent Mina Salonga, who organised the bookings to Rodney West, who took care of depositing cash back offer into my acccount the speed and professionalism of the team is rare and commendable.
Thank you and good luck with your business endaevours
    Chris.
Ps. 3 words of advice to everyone udnertaking travel overseas-INSURANCE, INSURANCE, INSURANCE! And that's including provisions for unforseen changes to flights etc.

  • This outfit seem to offering a classic bait and switch scam.

Cheapest flights came up on Skyscanner, followed it through and entered copious amounts of data for the 4 travellers in our party, clicked on "go to payment" and it immediately comes back with "no seats available, choose a (more expensive) option". And I say immediately - it didn't go off to search for the flights again.

Tried again from scratch at Skyscanner, same thing.

    Avoid these scammers!

  • I tried to book and was immediately contacted to say my flight wasn't reserved because they needed to confirm card security. No surprise, we're using payment methods from the 60's instead of bitcoin. Anyway, the details required were enough to go open a bank account in my name, copies of passports, signatures, the card, a waiver saying I couldn't perform any charge backs… If you don't want to sign it, they'll hang onto your money for 7 WORKING DAYS, so you can't go book somewhere else in the meantime.

    • Yeah, sounds totally legit.

      Lol

  • I am very tempted to book a flight through here - it would avoid the $30 Qantas CC fee and is about $50 cheaper.

My big fear is what if the flight is cancelled? I am confident I can get money back from my CC provider, but not confident that I would be able to change the booking to a day before or after at the same rate i booked at.

  • I flew to the UK with flights booked through these guys last year— cheapest I could get the flights. I had absolutely nil issues with them and would use again.

  • Skidoo SCAMMERS

They are thieves. They charged me from credit card and said the payment has been declined by CC. I paid again and then same thing happened. In the end I now have $2600 Credit card bill for two bookings and I don't have even a single booking. I have to fight a dispute to get my money, also my account is overdrawn.

I strongly suggest to AVOID THESE SCAMMERS.

  • +1

    AVOID THIS COMPANY
My partner booked a flight from Sydney to Singapore for Christmas eve on the 7th AND PAID FOR IT. She received a confirmation from Skiddoo of her flight on the 22nd. Went to check in with Qantas this morning and no booking. None. So they took her money but did not book the flight. Of course being Christmas Eve there were no seats left, now she has to wait from 10am to 4pm to get a seat on a Singapore Airlines flight. At $500 extra as it is last minute. It also means she missed the connection to her home town and will not make Christmas lunch. Great job Skiddoo.
My suggestion, don't touch them with a barge pole.

  • Bah. Just for the record, Skiddoo will NOT permit you to book for under 18.
My daughter (aged 15) is travelling overseas on an exchange program by herself.
The website wants the first passenger to be over 18.

I rang the customer support and they said contact the airline. ie. We can't take your booking.

Just posting this as a PSA.

  • What a bloody joke. I rang their contact number and got put through to a person in Manila, who I coudn't even understand. I asked to put put through to their registered head office in Sydney and was told that they don't have any contact phone numbers there. I wanted to inquire about and book a flight with skiddoo rather than an online overseas company, because they claim to be an Australian owned. Well they can now shove it. Head office in Australia, who you can't contact on the phone, all dealings with Manila who you can hardly understand. No wonder there is no loyalty any more. They are now no better than any online international booking agency.
On 24/04/13, their post above claimed to have a dedicated team in Sydney to assist you with your travel needs. They certainly don't anymore!

  • Used them once last 2015 no issues

  • They are good for price matching as they are an Australian company. I found them to be cheaper for booking Melb - Hong Kong return on Cathay Pacific than booking directly with Cathay Pacific. Cathay Pacific refund the difference if you find their flight cheaper within 48 hrs of booking, I booked with Cathay Pacific and then sent them screenshots of the skidoo price and received a refund of the difference. They can also be used to price match with Flight Centre.

    • Hey, just wondering did Cathay Pacific ask about sub-class as Skiddoo doesn't show sub-class info when I tried to book.
