Tablet Hard drive problem

Not a problem with how it works but how it displays storage.

Looking at the colour graph you would think internal storage is chocka block
It has a 12.33GB internal
Misc. shows 18.34GB being used but it actually only has 980mb approx on that sector.

There is 7.8GB of free space on the HD.

I have checked this with several other programmes that show there is 7.8GB available as well.

Any ideas as to how to remedy this?
I have turned on and off and done a soft reset with no result.

      Nope, not really.
      I know what it is and what is on it, I can list them and count the mb's and its around 980mb

      What I dont know is why it shows a higher value than my HD actually is (misc = 18GB vs actual HD of 12.3GB)
      What I dont know is why it shows 18GB on it when there is really less than 1GB

    Did a defrag and check with no result

    Ran up Astro File Manager and looked at what was in there and saw that there is a folder on disc 1 called "external HD"
    This showed my movies that are on disc 2 (sd card in slot).
    They are also shown when I clicked on disc 2.

    I deleted them from the disc 1 folder and my miscellaneous file dropped from 18GB bact to 0.95GB as it should be.
    But the movies that were on disc 2 have gone.

    I'm confused.

    Slot 1 internal is claimed to be 16GB on spec sheet but is actually 12.33GB
    Slot 2 "external" is 32gb (29.7GB)

    Misc seems to be referring to your external.

    Add all the other figures and it = ~12gb as it should be.

    I disagree
    External is out of the device now getting media re-loaded. Misc on Disc 1 shows as 0.95GB

    External HD is shown below as an sd card that will need re-mounting when inserted.

    Just reinserted disc 2 (external) with 6.1GB of media
    Internal storage Misc. now shows 7.01GB up from 0.95GB of a moment ago

    Directly under that SD card (disc 2 External) shows 29.7 total space and 23.65 available.

    Disc 2 gets added into Misc. for some reason.

    So why does it show the Orange line (misc) as being so large when in actual fact it is only 0.95gb?
    Surely the Grey (available) line , at end of the orange should dominate being 7.85GB.

    What happens when I fill the other 23GB that is available, does the line run out of the tablet and across the room?
    (I know it wont actually do that but I hope you get the point)
