Samsung Chromebook Series 3 $311 Delivered from ValueBasket - Limited Stock

I am posting this in the forum because there seems to be limited stock (6 at the time of posting). Samsung Chromebook Series 3 for $311 from ValueBasket:

Still more expensive than in the States (USD $249 RRP), but cheaper than organising the forwarding yourself, or buying from JB Hi-Fi ($346). Except with JB Hi-Fi you get Australian warranty, and if you are buying for your business to get GST back, or are planning to use TRS, then JB Hi-Fi's ex-GST price would be $314.55, which is not much more expensive (for a lot more peace of mind).

  • Samsung Exynos 5 ARM A15 processor
  • 11.6" 1366x768 screen
  • 1.1kg
  • 2GB RAM + 32GB SSD
  • No moving parts, i.e. no hard drive & no fan

The cheaper Acer C7 might actually give you better experience, as Celeron 847 is quite a bit faster than Exynos 5, and it can be easily opened up to install additional memory & 7mm SSD. Samsung, however, is quite a bit lighter and no fans.

  • Any good in-depth reviews you can recommend reading?

Would iTunes work okay on this?
I guess games like BF3 (campaign not online) wouldn't.

  • The hardware is slightly weaker than the most modern smartphones or tablets (only Exynos dual core as opposed to a quad found in a SGS Note2.) As such if you start treating the Chromebook like a normal PC rather than a tablet with a keyboard bolted on, you'll start noticing a few slowdowns (particularly if you go Tab-crazy on the browser).

  • Recently I bought a Blackberry Z30 from a website called: valuebasket.com.au

It has been about 10 business days now and they still haven't even sent out the shipment. They sent their products from HongKong however, they claimed they have this warehouse in Melbourne.

Did anyone buy anything from them? Is that even true.

Anyways, my phone is broken and I really need one obviously. So I called them and emailed them asking about the shipment of my order but they always tell me it is being processed and not yet shipped and now it is the tenth day already.

They claimed to delivery the product within 10 business days and mine is not even shipped out yet.

When I try to cancel my order they say it is gonna take 5~7 business days to refund me the money, and by the time it is refunded I should have received my order.

I m bit stuck here. What do u think I should do now?

If you have bought stuffs from them and it s broken, have you tried to ship it to Melbourne to fix?

    tks
