    You must make a lot of money as an Amazon affiliate easternculture. I'm jealous. =P

    Do you get a commission for free kindle books as well? Last time I accidentally clicked on one of your free kindle book links but I didn't realise the sale had expired and it charged my credit card $3.08 USD. Thankfully, I was immediately able to get a full refund. Phew.

      I only get paid commission from Amazon if I use my referral link in my posts.
      You'll see a "REF" tag next to my username when I post a referral link.
      With free e-books, no commission is paid because they are free

          Hehe of course not. I've bought a couple of items using easternculture's Amazon links in the past and I was just curious to see how much money he was making. He seemed to be going to a lot of trouble to save us Ozbargainers a few bucks so I assumed he must be well compensated for his time. Now I'm wondering if the commission you receive as an affiliate is enough to make it a full time job.

          Unfortunatly, its not enough to quit working full time, its a couple hundred every month.
          Its alot of effort finding good deals on Amazon and it takes alot of time, but its for the greater good and im always happy to contribute to the ozbargain community =)
