haha beat me too, but yours is more informative :P

Except…I had a PDF version. This offer is valid until 28th of Feb
perhaps you want to upload the image so users and print it off without going to the website and then extend the time this offer is valid

    • could please tell me the link to pdf or image that you have

  • Can you buy tickets using this voucher, but use them on different days and village cinemas?

    • Just keep printing and redeeming them for different sessions.

  • ;( only for Village Cinemas.. Victoria, Tasmania and NSW.

Now you're talking. This means I don't need to sit in the crappy Greater Union Cinema in Melbourne to get a cheap movie.

Mind you, my favourite cinema is still Waverley Cinema - adult tickets are $8.50 and kids are $6.50 per session, every session. They also don't rip you off if you want to buy popcorn, coke or an icecream. Even better, you can bring your own food and drink. You can also buy fairly cheap booze there - from memory a Crownie is something like $5.00. Anyone living in the area should check it out: http://waverleycinema.com

How come the barcode is the same? I thought it's supposed to be unique or how can they control ticket allocation if people just keep reprinting?

    • Thinkg of it as a coupon. Nothing about it is unique or tied to a specific person. They want people to share it around.

    • "Any one who has access to this page is able to take advantage of the offer."

      Good one !

  • The link to download the $8 voucher will only be active form Feb 2 to 5, 2009 or until the ticket allocation is exhausted.

This is the part I don't understand, how do they know when "allocation is exhausted" when people can just keep on re-printing?

Do they tell you when you arrive at the box office? Sorry! It's finished, you can't use it.

  • yea, similar to what my local greater union would send me. like a membership card - $8.50/ movie but could not use saturday night. I bought the $7 one's thanks to this website last week (can use in feb and march) so am happy with that :)

not sure how they decide when the ticket allocation is "exhausted" if its over the counter. must be first come first served

  • Does this voucher only entitle for 1 ticket only? So if I take my family only one ticket is $8 and the rest is normal price?

    • Just get everyone to bring a voucher for themselves.

  • the vouchers may also be valid for use at greater union/birch carroll & coyle cinemas as they are associated with village cinemas.

    • Can someone confirm this?

  • I don't know any more than all of you. I just got this from another friend of mine. Maybe one of us can try it tonight and see if it works? :)

  • Useless in NSW. It's not valid at Albury - the only Village Cinema in NSW. Don't think the voucher will be valid at Greater Union, they have different ticketing system.

  • I'm about to go see a movie on Sunday with some friends. But I just checked the link and they've finished the promotion early, as ticket allocation is exhausted … I'm starting to wonder if we can still use the print outs or if they'll tell us at the ticket box that we can't.

Is anyone going to use the tickets today? Can you let us know if it was still accepted? :)

    Many thanks

    • Can anyone reply to this because im about to go for a movie tomorrow and this would come in real handy.

      • Oops :) I did go to see a movie that Sunday and the vouchers were accepted :)

        good luck

  • all the tickets are gone : (
