eBay Click and Send Satchels

Hi,

I have run out of the smaller ebay click and send satchels. I'd like to send items out tomorrow. Does anyone know if they will return items or try to charge the recipient more if I use my own envelopes? I don;t want to wait for my reorder to arrive.

  • I've never used them, but I'm guessing from your posts that you can't just get them over the counter?

  • I have also in the past ran out and so long as the satchels/envelopes are the same or smaller size, i have had no problem with posting.

    • Thanks. That was what I was hoping for. I have already paid and printed the labels, so I really do NOT want top have to pay again and use 3kg satchels.

So, even though I already said I'd be using the official C&S satchels, as long as mine are smaller, my recipients won't be hassled? I wasn't clear about the part about the fact that I had already said I was using theirs.

  • I ran out of the envelopes in the past as well, and used a yellow A4 envelope for the 500g satchel, didn't have any problems. It'll be fine but do buy some official envelopes when you have the chance because the label gets protected under the plastic sheet and won't get smudged on rainy days.

    • Yeah. Thanks. I have some white envelopes that size and just held them up to the one remaining official satchel. I'm sure it'll be right. I have ordered heaps more and will be sure to keep an ample supply going forward.

  • If the sender details is clearly mentioned on the envelope, any fee incurred will be billed to the sender. I did receive extra fee letter last year because of sending item in an envelope but they consider the thickness was over the limit (should be considered as satchel).

    • Funny you should mention that. Today I received exact same letter….

  • Just received this from click and send:

Thanks for taking the time to contact Click and Send. I can certainly give you advice on this matter.

I am sorry to hear you have run out of stock of the 500g flat-rate satchels. Unfortunately these are only available for purchase online. You can use your own packaging however the postage charge will be at the standard Australia Post rate.

Hope they don't screw me on all those I sent out a few days ago.
