Best Place to buy a PS VITA in Australia?

Hi,

Looking to buy a Playstation Vita for my upcoming birthday.
Just looking for a plain wi-fi model preferebly bought instore.
I'm also looking for some games, but it's probably cheaper on ebay than instore for them.

  • Black Ops Declassified
  • Rugby Challenge
  • Resistance Burning Skies
  • Need for Speed
  • Uncharted

Also after a 32 GIG memory card and any accessories. If you have any suggestions for anything please say!

  • As much as I hate the company, check EB games. they had a good deal on the WiFi Model. otherwise Dick Smith.

    • what is the shipping time from hk?

      • 10 days - 3 weeks depending on how they send it. DSE are selling 32GB for $99 in store, there is only a $5 profit margin in that according to their system.

  • If you have a PS3 PS+ is well worth the money too. I bought PS+ and got Gravity Rush and Uncharted for free (for a year at least, plenty of time to play them though) Pretty much made my money back (assuming i would have purchased from a retail store) without the Ps3 games I downloaded for free also.

  • any chance youre from canberra op?

  • I got mine at JB: wi-fi model + 16GB card + Boxed Game + Accessories set for $308.

Go for one of their deals, and ask for the best price they can give you with an upgraded card. If you grab multiple games at the same time it would bring the price down even further.

But for buying games I'd recommend online stores which tend to be much cheaper. Compare the prices online (at places such as ozgameshop) and the prices offered in-store and see if the price difference is worth it.

    Hope this helps you. :)

  • Ended up getting the PSVita off gumtree for $220, and a 16gb card elsewhere.
I'm still looking to get my hand on some games.

    • Do yourself a favour and skip Black ops and Resistance. They were both terrible and made by the same developer (Nihilistic) who has since parted ways with Sony and renamed themselves. They now make iPhone games (yeah, they are that good) Take a look at my blog when you get a chance, it's all about Vita. http://totalvitard.com

      • Was going to skip resistance,
But black ops declassified seems like it could do its justice for me. The solo survival would be a good little game to play everynow and then, the multiplayer seems quite enjoyable for a portable title and the Singleplayer, even though quite storyless, i believe it could be ok competing for times, as personally i don't believe that a portable game could achieve a compelling story like a AAA or indie title could.

        • I tried to enjoy BlOps but it is pretty shallow. Try it out at EB first.
