ING Orange Everyday question

I'm getting mixed answers here hopefully someone can answer it :)

As im aware the 5% cash back is for paywave under $100. So why are people suggesting to use it with the Myer i3 laptop deal or as seen was used on a vending machine and had not received the 5% cashback.

Maybe these people don't understand its for paywave $100 and under or am I missing something here?

You break it up into payments of $100 or less :)

    e.g $545 laptop
    Charge $99 5 times
    Charge $50 once

They still get their money, its just a bit more effort for them

Though recently if you do this kind of thing they can detect a pattern and wont give cashback

  • Not really iv tried buying heaps of things this way and still got my rebate, illegal not to honour it, unless its written somewhere in T&Cs, since there isn't any for this type of activity.

An easier suggestion is to buy gift cards in increments of $50 or $99 if they allow you.

  • I don't think anyone using a vending machine needs to worry about the purchase being over the $100 limit.

    • I highly doubt they will have Paywave though.

What do you think my whole other post was about?????

Why don't you use google before making statements like that.

Just so you know Pay Pass is only Pay Pass when the transaction is under $100. Above that and you need to put your pin in or sign, making it a regular debit/credit card transaction.

Alright settle down there sraymond. Making a statement like what? To me, I was just thinking from a security point of view how easy it would be to place a RFID reader beside, underneath or beside the Paypass sensor and it being in public places it would be very easy.

I think you need to relax a bit mate.
