[Android] App of the Day (AU) - 100% Free

Moved to Forum: Original Link

Every day a paid app becomes free for 24 hours via this app.

"App of the Day" is now finally available on Android! ★★★ Every day a paid app becomes free for 24 hours! ★★★

Every day, the team chooses the "App of the Day" from one of the best, actually paid apps from the Google Play Store and is negotiating with the developers to make their app free for 24 hours.

Just to give you an idea, the previous 3 apps were Fruit Ninja, Doodle Jump and Asphalt 7. Today's app is Munch Time Special.

You can disable/enable the daily notification in the app's Settings.

  • "This app is incompatible with all of your devices."

  • Most lf the apps you gace have Free equivalents.. Hope you not talking about those that get given away for 'free'..??

    • Nope, these are the FULL versions of the apps for free, not the lite/free/crippled/ad supported ones.

    • This app gives you notification of free apps , like appsales . decent one and handy

This is not a bargain, it belongs in the freeware forums.

  • This sounded good to me, until I realised that after the day, if you uninstall you don't own the app, so can never put it back on.

    • Please clarify "after the day, if you uninstall you don't own the app, so can never put it back on."

  • ie, an app that is free all the time can be re-installed. Also one you purchase for real money stays attached to your account.

However these seem to put up new versions for just a bit that are free, so when they are removed, you can no longer access it again.

meh, you just make a backup copy of the .apk file

      • Google play downloads the program, installs the program and deletes the .apk file……I think?

Silly question, how do I download/keep the .apk file?

        • +1

No, the .apk file is the actual program. It's like the .exe file in Windows. It is only deleted when you uninstall the app.

how do I download/keep the .apk file?

Use a file or app manager app. e.g. ES File Explorer's App Manager function.

        • Thanks for the reply. I used the backup function and the apk appeared in the backup directory.

Now to test if the apk is compatible on my other devices.

Yes, many of these apps look like they are special versions posted for 1 day. However, as they are on Google Play they are attached to your Play account. If you delete the app you can always reinstall it later via Google Play in your My Apps > All menu option.
