Cheapest 3DS games on launch?

Hey OzBargain,

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions in where to buy the cheapest 3DS game on launch.
I see most games for the 3DS to be around $60 rrp. Which is slightly ridiculous.

I prefer to buy my games retail and Aussie (I want to play them at launch, but I don't mind a day or two wait + I want to rack up some club nintendo points, I know overseas are generally much cheaper eg. Ozgameshop, but the shipping time takes quite a while).

But as Luigi's mansion came out, I saw on JB Hi-Fi online, that it was on sale for $47, but the price has gone up since. Does JB do these kind of deals at launch day?

The other big retailer, EB Games has otherwise proven to be a ripoff.

So once again, cheapest place to buy a 3DS game on launch? (Preferably local store, but exceptions can be made if price / shipping times are good for online imports)

  • For 3DS bargains, Check out Dick Smith, their range is low but their accessories are cheap and random games, like "Moshi theme park" are up to $20 cheaper than anywhere else.

Target doesn't advertise, but scan their range and you'll find a few $19-$29 games, like Rayman Origins and some of the Lego games series

EB, GameTraders, and JB HiFi do great prices on their trade in games. But their new games are all quite expensive.

Then on ebay there is a UK based seller, ozsave-games, I like to keep an eye on them. They had a special on "Super Pokemon Rumble" usually up to $60 in stores -for $19 and I got it a weeka and a half later.

    happy bargaining!

  • Our Club Nintendo catalogue sucks big time though. Rarely has any good stuff.
