Just had two guys stop by and offer some free energy saving products from Energy Target Australia. Are these guys legit? Anyone else received anything from these guys?

This varies. I had previously received this program from them, they installed new light bulbs, a new shower head that reduces the flow of water and some other goodies. Completely free.
And if the question is, is the program legit, then yes, various state governments were meeting carbon reduction targets by sponsoring companies to provide energy and water saving items. I got a house full of free CFL light bulbs.
1: Some door knockers are NOT legit, they don't represent any company and just want to case your house. Check photo ID. If they don't have any ID call the police.
2: The Victorian government has a scheme where if they can install something in your house and prove that it saves X amount of electricity the government will pay them. They will have a look and if they don't think they can prove it they will just leave. If they can they will 'install' whatever it is and you have to sign up that this has happened at your address so you can't do it multiple times.
They had ID. They didn't come inside my house but gave me some freebies anyway. Just wanted to double check I didn't sign away my soul or anything.
They look legitimate. Call them and see?
