  • Had to laugh at some dude's comment in one review "i'll instantly punch right into the face whoever gives me that as a gift."

    Looks to have launched 3yrs ago with retail of GBP50 (approx. AUD75 at today's rate), so $43 delivered is ok. Is this product a "necessary" accessory for a laptop…well that's another question ;)

    • Had one of these for a few years now.
      They work very well, look good and are well made.
      The cooling fan is effective and the audio output quality is surprising.
      I have found nothing to criticise about the N700 at all.

      This is the best price I have seen them since we scored ours for $29 each, someone had mistakenly put them (2) in a clearance bin with the reduced price :-) :-)

    • If you spend a long time playing games or something on your laptop with it on your lap and dont want to become infertile, yes, it's necessary, lol.

        U sayin "baked beans" :-)

  • I own one of these. It is pretty handy. And the sound is quite good.
    Would be handier if it had a hub built in.

  • Bought one a while back for $99. Fan is nothing special but the quality of the speaker is really good. It's not some surround sound but it's much much better than the output on my laptop. Very chunky to carry around though but at this price, it's a bargain

    Wish I could get it for 10$ at DSE but no stock with them anywhere;

  • I got last one from local dicksmith marking the last pieces down to $7es about a month ago.

    Its good and comfy on lap but no fan means laptop has no airvent through

      • Virtually silent airflow
        The slotted surface allows the USB-powered fan to distribute air quietly and evenly under your notebook computer.

      no fan? I saw USB fan in the dicksmith description?

      • I assure you that the N700 does have a fan and it is very quiet and effective.
