OzBargain Blog was started back in June 2005 on a completely different domain, where scotty used to post the bargains he found on the Internet. After a few months it started to get an unexpected growing number of readers who loved to provide tips on where else to find bargains. A forum was created in 2006 that forms a small community of bargain hunters.

As the size of the community grows, scotty decided to evolve the OzBargain Blog into OzBargain the community site in November 2006¹⁾.

In October 2007, OzBargain Blog officially moved off from its own domain into the subdomain of OzBargain²⁾.

OzBargain Blog runs on top of the current version of WordPress with a customised theme.
