Student VIP is a subscription-based service that allows you to get discounts on various magazines and newspapers. It also offers access to other student-related services such as student grants, textbook rebates, textbook exchanges, accommodation/travel and other useful services.
There is no subscription fee and the service costs nothing to join. The catch, however, is that you will be emailed marketing material weekly.

www.studentmagazines.com.au has very good deals for students. Be careful that when you make a subscription, “bonuses” that are usually on the front of the magazines are not included.
TIP: most newspapers will allow you to subscribe to a newspaper for $15-25/year during o-week. You are given a card that allows you to pick up the newspaper for free at the newsagency, and the Saturday paper is delivered to your house.
