I don't think I've ever seen the Logitech Squeezebox Boombox under $300

Wirelessly connects to your computer so you can play your favourite songs off your hard drive through the squeezebox speakers! You can also tune into thousands of internet radio stations and access your favourite online music services.

Has good sound according to some reviews I've read. Can connect to some NAS's too.

  • http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=logitech+sq… - I'm quite sure this is the same thing as the one posted - Logitech Squeezebox Boom for $279 from IT Estate. Only thing is, no stock right now. Clicking on the Staticice link doesn't take you straight to the link where you can see it but search for it on IT Estate and you'll see it.

  • I wish I could justify buying one…

  • Yes, it's the same, but as you say - no stock. Like trying to find a cheap ReadyNAS Duo in stock.

Plain Squeezebox connect to your stereo, this one has speakers.

  • This would be great for my parents actually. Their old mini-hifi is about to give up the ghost and to be able to access my vast library of files would be handy. However they still have a fair collection of CDs and short from ripping them all and then needing the storage, I wish this device included a CD player and radio. Without that I don't think my parents would adapt to it overly well. Maybe there's something out there like this though…

  • The interface is a little clumsy I've read. May not suit 'ordinary' people :-)
