Really wanna get a decent gaming steering wheel sets.

Read some reviews and seems the Logitech G27 is value for money. Any reviews or experience with this?

Checked staticice and Ebay, seems Umart's offer is a great bargain.

Spam? This is dick smith everyday price

Still a pretty good non-sale price.

But for these items, it's best to wait for a sale, since it's quite a bit of money. Dick Smith usually chucks a Logitech sale once in a while, where this wheel will get reduced dramatically.

    For example : http://www.dicksmith.com.au/playstation-3/ps3-logitech-drivi…
Sold for $70 last year at DS with their sale at about Christmas. Point being, DS always have Logitech sales.

  • Most id pay for a G27 is $200.

  • It's funny seeing how cheap the G27 is now. The Logitech G27 is a fantastic wheel, and $279 is a great price.

I remember when the G27 was generally it's RRP of $500, and I got it for $320 and it was an absolute steal at the time.

Then these crazy price drops/sales kept happening. I'm guessing they must have had loads of stock they were trying to get rid off. I haven't seen it that cheap for sale in a good long time (but I might have just missed them).

I noticed in Dick Smith the other day that the wheel has a new box. (but otherwise it seems to be the same wheel). Maybe they're newer stock?

As for the wheel itself, it's really sturdy, feels great, and works great on PC/PS2/PS3. I assume it will work with the PS4, but can't say yet.

Just keep in mind you're going to need a good permanent desk setup or a seat to take advantage of it - otherwise you'll never use it.

  • You obviously can't get them for this price anymore but just for your information Dick Smith sold them for $150 recently. I bought one in store. It is a great wheel.

    • The one for $150ish is the Driving Force GT.
It's a cheaper plasticy version of the G27.

      • Nope. Definitely a G27. I wouldn't pay that for a dfgt.

  • In my opinion this is not worth it, I bought this for $249 (including delivery) from the official Logitech eBay store more than a year ago.

    edit: $245 purchased feb 2012

  • They regularly sell second hand on the ocau forums, if you don't mind new-to-you the prices are generally pretty good…

including a frame and seat, this guy wants $250…

    • Remembering though people can't view that link unless they've been a member of OCAU for three(?) months :x
