OMG, Lumia 1020 here I come! Thanks edmobile8!

    • +2

      You're welcome

  • +1

They raised the price of the things I want by about $40 ………….. The Lumix LX-7 was $319 ……. If anything the AUD is gaining foothold over the last few days ….

    • +8

They have a history of that..
"Free Shipping" causes prices to jump by the shipping cost..

      • +8

I think deals should get negged for this practice. It's not "free", then, is it? If total price before and during the sale is the same, then no bargain.

        • +4

No point negging, the Kogan lovers(staff) will get it revoked by group negging your comment.

        • Kogans a Bogan!!!

    • +2

Not True.. Got the D5200TK for $709 which was previously $719 plus delivery

Edit: The price reduction might be due to the launch of D5300.

  • is Rx 100 mk 2 worth to get from Kogan? just have some warranty concern in future…

  • is the note 3 a good deal?

    • Not really.

      Eglobal has 32GB 4G Note 3 for $701

      Apply $5 coupon (EGLFRND5) + $29 shipping comes to $725 delivered

      http://www.eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au/samsung-galaxy-note-…

      • cheers thanks for that, and thanks edmobile8

      • +4

I'd avoid eglobal like the plague. They have the worst after sales support of all the importers (same company as dwi). Good luck claiming warranty if things go wrong. Seriously not worth the $20-30 saving over anywhere else.

Kogan aren't super prompt but at least you will get refunds/replacements under warranty.

Do your research and don't get suckered in by the lowest price!

  • So tempting to get a Note 8"

    • Me too. $319 seems to be quite a good price?

  • +4

price increased slightly .. For example HTC One 32G was 550 and now it's 560

    Looking at below, any suggestion?
    Samsung Galaxy S3 4G i9305 (16GB, White) $369
    Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini 4G LTE I9195 (8GB, White) $359

    • Looking at the same, if you go for the Mini, get a microSD card as well as internal memory is below spec for a modern phone (only 4gb user accessible)

    • Has anyone got one of the S4 Minis? I'm thinking of getting one for the other half to replace her well aged and dying iphone 4 as the price of iphones to buy new is ridiculous when compared to something like an S4 Mini, and she doesnt like the size of the normal S3/S4.

Moreso on build quality, feel, speed etc.. Android I can deal with as my phone is an S3.

      • +1

I did exactly as you describe with my wife. It's a great phone. Very light, decent size and specs. Only negative is the small internal storage. Micro SD card fixes that though. Highly recommended. Wife likes the samsung touchwiz better than vanilla 4.2 (my phone) but of course that is personal preference.

  • Any feedback on Kogan's quality of goods and delivery timeframe? Thinking of getting the iPhone 5C for the wife. Thanks!

    • +41

      Nice swap :)

      • i dont get it :(

        • +2

The joke is that he could easily trade in his wife for a 5S.

        • You overstated the wife's worth - Its only 5C not 5S :)

      • bought an iphone from kogan and since it was an international model its a CDMA phone. which meant when it was damage, apple store couldnt replace it with local gsm stock. our only option was to return it to an apple store in the US

        • Thanks for the feedback.

    • +3

Regarding quality, Kogan replaced my dead on arrival S3 with an unsealed S3 which had signs of usage. It was a huge hassle going through two returns, wasting 2 months. Not recommended at all.

      • Thanks for the feedback.

        • @alanslho: Are you working at Kogan? ;P

        • There is a + sign on the right. Just in case.

      • Unfortunately that's how it is with importers. Up to you to decide whether you take the risk of that inconvenience should things go wrong.

Still Kogan is miles ahead of DWI/eglobal who ignore your warranty claims even within the warranty period.

Kogan while slow, do get there at the end. Obviously not as good as bricks and mortar stores, but it may be worth it depending on the discount.

  • Pentax K-5 II body only for $769 including delivery.

  • The Canon EOS-M with the 18-55mm kit lens, 22mm pancake and 90EX flash is pretty good value:
    http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/canon-eos-m-digital-camera-with-…

    • +2

Canon's mirrorless is way out of date. not worth $400+

      • +1

Well, whilst I agree that there are some limitations with the EOS-M, you can't deny that at $409, with kit lens, 22mm pancake (which itself is supposed to be excellent) and the 90EX flash represents excellent value…name me something else that costs $400 that has better IQ…

I would've definitely jumped on this had I not gotten myself the Ricoh GR recently..

        • I got the x100s. Slightly regretting that purchase as I should have gone the GR!

        • What's wrong with the X100S, aside from it being bigger and more expensive? It's still an excellent camera, right?

        • They are all good one

        • Search for the old eos-m deals, you'll find the best deal was $300ish for the twin lens.

        • That was a once-off clearance price from DSE with extremely limited stock, which doesn't come with the flash….tremendous price if you managed to get one, but judging from the comments, doesn't look like there were many out there….

Cheapest twin lens + flash kit was over $450…

        • fabulous camera but as you say, bigger and more expensive - Ricoh GR is a good price and it knows what job it needs to do.

  • Hi all, bit of advice please.
I've been in the market for a new 3D TV. Are these any good?
    http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/50-3d-led-tv-100hz-full-hd/ $729
    http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/55-agora-smart-3d-led-tv-full-hd… $809
I just want it for quality movies and general television. No gaming or sports shows.
I've been holding off as it's not a necessity and I thought that most 3D tv's will bro ably go down in price during the after Xmass sales.
    Thanks .

  • Is it the cheapest for Sony RX100 II? Is it worth buying?
    http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/sony-cyber-shot-dsc-rx100-ii-dig…

    • Check Camera Paradise / Eglobal, and don't forget to apply the $10 first timer voucher. Cant remember the code. See if its cheaper there.

  • Awesome, was going to buy a Nikon D3200 kit yesterday, lucky i didnt!

    • +1

      Wait for D5300?! :)

      • 3200 is fine for what I need it for, 5200 is ~ 150 more than 3200 so I could only imagine the 5300 will be > 150.

        • First time nikon add wifi and gps in the body. It might be worth having D5300 with $300 extra.

  • +3

The Galaxy S3 (4G i9305) for $369 is the lowest price I've seen it.

    • It is the lowest. got it.

  • I am interested in a Nikon 5200. It sounds like a good first DSLR camera. Canon 's seem to have aslightly better usability, but Nikon's have less noise at higher ISO settings and better kits lenses apparently.

Anyone know how much shipping is normally from Kogan, for a DSLR? I'd like to know how much I would save by purchasing today. For lower end DSLRs, Kogan's prices seem to be slightly better than cheap dodgy overseas companies like DWI. If I had more cash I would instead splurge on a D600 Nikon Full Frame, but that is 3x the price.

    • +2

Was around $40-50 yesterday for a D3200 kit to Sydney

      • +1

Thanks for the info. $45 definitely isn't chump change.

  • See also the Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS II Telephoto Lens - $129 with free shipping saves $22.99 to WA.

    http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/canon-ef-s-55-250mm-f30-56-is-ii…

Comes with Australian 12 month warranty, so comes under all of the AU suppliers I could find.

    • Glad I didn't buy it a week ago. Got it now.

    • Isn't that a kit lens? Wouldn't it be better investing in a better set of glass?

  • Bought a Galaxy S4 last night. Exact same price as now but paid $23 in shipping.

Chances of getting shipping cost refunded?

    • Had same issue last time… After 3 emails they gave me a store credit for the amount.

Just say… I'd like to cancel my order and redo it with the free shipping included.

  • Thank you, been waiting for a half decent 12V capable TV, the 32" Ticked all the boxes, can't wait!

  • +1

waiting for everyone to place orders via Kogan for free shipping and then get an email tomorrow saying "sorry, we made a price mistake on the shipping and it's actually $25 for delivery, please reply if you accept the real price"

  • prices are the same as at brick-n-mortar stores for what I'm after :/

  • +1

Any active vouchers/coupons/codes to reduce price?

    • same question

    • +2

Just wait for them to stuff up again and you'll get your voucher. Should be happening any minute now lol

  • The nikon 35mm 1.8g isn't bad for $199. Don't think its cheaper anywhere else atm?

  • +1

We have some knowledgeable and sharp eyed OzBargain people here.

Did Kogan really increase the prices and then offer free shipping?? Wow!

  • You made me look at the Nexus 2nd gen (32G) and its $299. I missed the $279 from Dick Smith on the weekend. Since I can use the Woolies card, I get 5% off. Starting tomorrow's catalogue Dick Smith has them for $299 so I'll have to pass on Kogan. Officeworks has $294 so you can't price match anymore.

    • +1

Officeworks has a "lookout" list for pricematching now. I saw it last time I went there. It basically is a table with:
Store Name | Reason for no pricematch

And next to kogan's one was something like "High chance grey stock, check closely".

So basically if they cannot confirm that it isn't grey stock, they will give you that reason.

    i bought one iphone5c 549

any one know should it worth it?or anywhere sell them cheaper

  • Should I get a HTC One, LG G2 or wait for the Nexus 5?

  • Blackberry Z10 $299 Black or White

    http://www.kogan.com/au/search/?keywords=blackberry

  • Yessss! I can finally get me that umbrella hat! Thanks OP ;)

  • First time buying from Kogan.
bought the Canon 430Ex ii Flash $249

was going to buy it days ago, but the shipping cost of $23 makes it $271.
I managed to bargain it down to $315 from JB, with 10% TRS (about to travel in a month) makes it around $285.
This deal $249 seems better tho.

    Thanks OP

    • was the canon from an aussie shop? Kogan is Hong Kong / Shenzhen based.

      shady as buggery

      • Not all of Kogan is Hong Kong dispatched.
Some of their stuff comes with full Australian Tax Invoice if it was dispatched from Australia.

However its shady that they don't tell you which ones is locally shipped and which ones is from overseas.

  • -6

Kogan can go suck on my…

  • Never tried Kogan but can't be too bad for the price. LG G2 only $5 or so more than eGlobaL. Might have to get it for the missus.

  • Doh. Bought my Kogan 47" 3D LED Smart TV last week.

  • free shipping still applies now.. its past 24 hrs lol

  • its still on.. I think.. :)

  • so I'll just wait until the next 'free shipping' promo
