12

Godfreys have a deal for a yellow 2400watt vacuum. I don't know the brand, but it's a good price.

I would never buy from Godfrey's no matter what the price!
My invalid pensioner Mother purchased a $380 unit from them only for it to come out the following week for $99.
Ripped off! No sole and heartless money grabbing is all I can say!

    • Be a bit careful of the stuff you buy from Godfrey. Make sure it's a well known brand. Otherwise…

Wow that is bad luck! I would have rebought it at $99 and then returned it as the full price unit with that receipt.

    • Did you not try and use the 10 day money back guarantee? http://www.godfreys.com.au/tendays_greeting.php

I wouldn't buy any vacuum cleaner unless it is of a decent make. You'll be struggling to find bags for it within a year. Plenty of known-brand cleaners are going for 50% off all the time, Samsung make some nice bagless ones that are often RRP $349 down to about $149.

      • Bag? I thought people all go for bagless nowadays?

        • There are many vacuum cleaners that still use bags — especially the cheaper ones. There are arguments in support of bags too; eg. more hygienic (as you don't have to empty it manually etc)

      • unfortunately it was way past the 10 day's when i found out

in regards to Vaccum cleaners, we purchased one of those dyson
bagless units, basic model (DS19 or 20 something like that) but they were being cleared due to the
new model coming out got it for $400 with extended warranty.
Fanbloodytastic is all I can say. Gone are the days of buying cheaper $99-$180 units
        every coupla years.

  • The vacuums at oo.com.au are much better.

    1 year warranty
    $80
    2400 watt
    I bought one of oo's.

  • actually ask them for 10% more value…
