Misleading. Put inflatable in the title

  • 1-seater sold out.

  • Inflatable Kayaks are great for still water but when it gets choppy, you'll have a fun time trying to control the damn thing :P

  • Does anyone own one of these?

I'd be keen to know how well they are made and how well they work.

  • Sorry for not being specific on this deal but does anyone know where to get a half decent entry level kayack? Looking for two singles or one double.

Depends on budget, planned use, experience and location. Suggest akff.net and posting a thread in "which kayak for me" forum for a few specific ideas. Short answer is get 2 single, 2nd hand, 3.5m-4.3m plastic sit on tops ($400-700 each, possibly with some extras thrown in). If you want new, avoid Anaconda (the Kathmandu of the kayaking world), and look at a dedicated kayaking shop with staff that know what they are doing.

Any shorter and they can be a mongrel to paddle. Longer is fine if you have the space and means to transport. Do not get a tandem because your other half will not always want to go out, and doubles are a pain by yourself.

      • Thanks for the info - will take it on board.

    • One word ebay - entry level kayaks from seller kustomkayaks are great for getting out and about on the water although I probably wouldn't take it out to sea.

They occasionally have cheaper 'buy it now' prices when they're trying to get rid of a colour scheme which is how I scored one for the missus' birthday last year.
