Pocket Fire Starter for Camping & Outdoor Survival, Match Oil Lighter with Key Chain

Features:

Flint on Steel Striker
Strikes well over 10,000 Times; waterproof
Chain Attaches Easily to Packs and Gear
Very Compact and Light

This is a must have for campers, hunters, and survival enthusiasts alike. O-Ring seal keeps water and moisture out while preventing lighter fluid from evaporating. Once filled, it will stay filled for a long time. Completely sealed from the elements, even if rained on or completely submerged, the wick stays protected and sealed within. Striker sends showers of sparks into your char cloth or kindling. Very compact and lightweight. Measures only 2-1/2"L, 0.6 oz. It may be the most important survival item you don't even notice your carrying. Key chain clip easily attaches to any zipper on your pack or gear, car keys, or belt loop.

  • Link is to a LED Flashlight … coupon not working for it … (only for the Fire Starter: http://www.meritline.com/showproduct.aspx?ProductID=107787&S…)

AEDT … oh no … we have to wait until daylight saving is back … :-)
—> (AEDT is only used while Daylight Saving Time is active. During this time of year, locations on AEDT are now on AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time) instead.)

  • Thank you for the great info @mini_wombat, the post has been revised.

    Cigarette lighter works better

    • Guess you've never tried lighting a wet cigarette lighter

      • Guess you've never dried one out

Edit: Worked out what it is…never seen one before

Not sure it would be better than a normal lighter, but hey $1.7 for a bit of fun!

does it come with lighter fluid?

  • Just some feedback…

Order 2 of these fire starters… really terrible quality!

The "match" is made of metal, but the "body" is made of plastic where they thread together…

Within opening and closing twice the plastic thread on the "body" has shredded meaning you can't seal the fire starter anymore…

    Glad I only paid $1.7… terrible product…

  • Anyone knows where I can buy the lighter fluid for this gadget?
