    $550 calls
    500mb data

$10/Gb data packs or $15/Gb excess data charge

Vaya still takes the cake for only a couple extra $

vaya is heaps beter value, cheaper addon data and NO CONTRACT TERM.

And you think Dodo are any better?
We're talking supreme budget prices, so supreme budget service ought to be expected.

Personally I haven't had a problem as yet with Vaya/Live Connected in my dealings with their Customer Service. I have on the other hand dealt with Dodo in the past and it was a nightmare! Not simply poor communication as has been the issue with Vaya, but blatant ignorance at best or swindling at worst!

        • Live Connected (Vaya) have completely dropped their crap.
I wouldn't recommend having anything to do with them.

Just read back over a few pages. Dodgy meets shonky and incompetent.
Put it this way, the TIO has them on speed-dial.

My personal opinion but Vaya are outright horrible. I moved to them a couple of years ago around the time of Vodafones well know network issues. Despite that I deeply regreted the churn.

When it worked it was okay but when it didn't it was the worse customer service experience I have ever had. Only staryed with them for a couple of months but never again

          Nicely put!

Charged per GB; rounded up to the nearest GB.

      Ridiculous.

I thought you was kidding, but obviously it wasn't you.
By agreeing to this T/C, Dodo could easily take your car, house and life away in a few days.

  • Hi
Vaya is cheapest but how s the service

    • Utter disaster - see links above

    • I dont know what people expect. Vaya and Live do have laughable customer service. However once you are past that cheap calls. I had problems when I first signed up and again when Live was taken over by Vaya, but since then. Cheap calls and no problems. It seems to me you could be with someone else paying heaps more.

  • I need an Telstra reseller, what network is Vaya on?

    • +1

      Vaya is on Optus
Have a look at TeleChoice which is on Telstra but not 4G

    • Try Telechoice, need 24 months contract.

      http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2074604

      • Isn't the Kogan offer 12 months and same cost? Or has that changed…

        • -1

What rock you crawl out of? Kogan mobile has not existed for about 12 months

        • Telechoice + Kogan offer = http://www.telechoice.com.au/kogan-offers

I find that if you read all the messages in a conversation you'll have more of an idea WTF people are talking about…

    • Try Boost Mobile - have used them for about 2 yrs - initially they were aligned with Optus and now Telstra Next G - never had a problem on their $40 unlimited plan which incl 2GB of mobile data per month. Pretty sure there is no 4G access which is the only negative with this deal…..Having said that, search the Oz Bargain forums re Boost 4G workaround.

We were with Dodo for ADSL in 09 and were sent an sms saying that if we don't contact them we automatically allow Dodo to charge us a new service we didn't sign up for at about $60 per month. We only received it a couple of hours before it was meant to start. Is this even legal? It wasn't in the contract when we signed up.

I tried Dodo a couple of years ago, and can say without doubt that they are the single most dishonest company, I have ever dealt with.

Nothing seems to have changed judging by the recent reviews:

Very strange name for a company - Dodo. Definition 1 - Extinct flightless bird; Definition 2 - imbecile.

    • Service is extinct, costs are hidden. $1.38 for the first minute.. $99 cents/min thereafter, excess Data $15 per Gigabyte, rounded up to the next gigabyte..

  • Excessive $15 per gb, boring and merely price matching T, for a inferior supply and service.

Don't understand how everyone's had so many issues with Vaya…
Been with them for 13 months. No issues.
Previously with Live Connected for 24 months. No issues.

You have been lucky. Read the thread above. Once trouble begins with them its just horrible but, of course, its possible to have individual good experiences-providing none of the increasingly common overcharging/wrong billing/data issues/ forced-plan-changes-without-notice happen to you.

    • +1

They barred all my services for an amount of $3.67. Called them and paid the amount. 14 calls to them later and numerous promised callbacks from team leaders I churned provider as still faced service restrictions.

    i prefer TPG…

    • Oh… That's a whole 'nother can o' worms right there..

      Can you say "nonrefundable prepayment"?
