To use this app you would have to pay the monthly subscription fee I believe.
Dont know why you got -ve. You can use it without Subscription - but a lot of limitations. You can get an Access anywhere plan or Productivity pack for a certain rate. I've uninstalled mine because rather use other alternatives including Google's very own Chrome Remote Desktop that works through 3G, Firewalls and whatnot.
How does this compare with teamviewer ?
This has some acceleration technologies to be able to stream video live across the remote control session. Other than that, Teamviewer is better for 3/4G connect since it is free in that respect.
What "in app purchases" is the permission acceptance screen talking about?

the splashtop personal was always free…I saw it in amazon. correct me if I am wrong. That's why they have in-app purchases. All my other paid splashtop program did not have any in-app purchase.

Never used Splashtop but I use Teamviewer and it's free for home users. PC, ios, android and works on any network connection.
Teamviewer won't play movie over net.
Plenty of apps that allows you to play Movies over the network instead of going through another PC. There is no need to run Splashtop to do this.
It's good for streaming movies/games from your main PC but that's about it. Steam-streaming is still far too unstable, requires wired and there's no version for mobile devices.
Great app, lets me watch movies from the toilet.
And no sticky keys to worry about.
I think that's a Windows feature.
