  • Is there something I'm missing? How is this so cheap?

Yes, I realise this sounds like one of those "Well I'm glad you asked that question, Porky" set ups, but seriously, what's the catch?

    • Gym membership is usually $50-$60 per month… but now you pay $69 for 6 months ($11.5 a month)

Is there something I'm missing? How is this not a catch?

      • Is there something I'm missing?

Yes, the meaning of the phrase "what's the catch".

It seems cheaper to buy 3 x 1 months rather than a 3 monther…. although i'm sure they;'ve thought of that

    • How is $39 for 3 months is cheaper than $19 x3?

      • because of failed maths

    • 3 x 1 months = $57
      1 x 3 months = $39

How is 1 month cheaper than a 3 monther

  • Cranbourne LOL

24 hour unmanned gyms have a restricted level of equipment. Basically anything that you can be trapped under (eg. barbells/benches/squat racks), you won't find at 24 hour unmanned gyms.

I can't claim this is what allows them to lower their price but something to keep in mind I guess. It's the main reason I haven't joined one

    • Miscbrah (appropriate enough of a name) is correct.

Because this is Australia and occupational health & safety is literally the word of God himself; unsupervised gyms cannot have things like bench presses, incline racks, squat racks, lunge racks/machines, etc.

Basically all they'll have is some free weights and some basic machines like overhead cables and pull up/dip bars.

      • How can something be "literally the word of" and how can God be anyone other than "himself"?
Could you explain the causal relationship btw "this" and "Australia"?
Shouldn't gyms provide bench presses (or not) instead of "things like bench presses"?

        • Doesn't btw mean 'by the way'? I think you meant 'between' though?
And how come you aren't in the new mad max movie?
