Bitdefender Total Security 2015 6 Month License (100% Discount) Windows Deal

440

The popular Bitdefender is free again. Looks similar to the previous deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/166380 offer. This deal deal page does not mention a time period restriction. I have a paid 3 year license for this so no point me trying to install it to see. Feel free to edit if there is a time limit. Either way a solid product for free!

6 months. says so after clicking download link.

    I have a 2yr sub already also ;)

  • Thanks. had 147 days left since the last deal and so after applying the new key it is back up to 180 days. Easy as pie to do.

Good timing, my 3 year sub is expiring this month. Was going to switch over to a free AV but I guess this is free now too.

Similar deal to https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/167468 it is annoying they don't specify time period before downloading.

    • It is six months.

Yes, I know. What I'm saying is that they don't tell you that "upfront".

  • I installed their 6 month deal on a few of my machines and removed it last week. Constantly blue screened one machine, made all the rest take ages to start up. Not very keen on the product at all.

  • OP, please update link to:

    http://www.bitdefender.com/media/html/spread/computelogy-ts/

    It's more direct.

  • I uninstalled BitDefender a long time ago because it grinded my computer CPU during scans and I couldn't find a way to pause the scan like with other AV programs. In fact I think it required a system reboot in order to stop it… Has this changed recently?

Its annoying if you just want the Antivirus and not the rest of the bloatware…I have disabled everything except the A/V but it still feels bloated and gives me warning about having the firewall and anti spam stuff turned off.

    Still the price is right…

EDIT: In the end I installed it and put Avira free version on instead…is rated just a high in most testing without all the bloatware.
