I asked in store and you can trade in on the spot Forza 3 ($65) and Banjo Kazzoie ($19) against the price of the console which means you get a Jasper Arcade Console with 512mb internal memory for $213

Bargain! Will see more of these packages leading up to Christmas, so if you can wait it might be a good idea, but this is a nice deal.

its good timing for me… my 360 has died it's last death.. i managed to repair it 5 times over the course of a year.. i can get the arcade and switch over my hard drive etc from the old one.

Damn I hope they sell just the arcade console itself for $200 by the end of the year… I don't need the games, I just want the console! I don't want to have to trade in games for "store credit", which I'd never use… or do they actually give you cash for the games?

from what they said to me… they would give you cash off the console price for the games (eb games in stanhope gardens nsw) i might even buy two to use as media center extenders

  That's actually what I want them for - I'm building a house, and have all rooms networked… my main home theatre room has a HTPC with 4 HDTV tuners, so I wanted to use the 360's in the other rooms to act as extenders. I've been waiting till the 360 hit around $200…. and a cash price of $213 is close!

Warning to all

Arcade pack does NOT include a Hard disk.

Forza 3 REQUIRES a hard disk for the 2nd DVD installation to get the most of the game as it offers the extra tracks and another 100 more cars. Most will opt to even install the first DVD on hard disk to speed up the loading times (takes ages between tracks otherwise)

You can still play it (just run from the first DVD only).. but not the "full" game that you are entitle to

hey guys just to let you know.. i just went to eb games chatswood and bought this deal.. traded forza back for $65 and banjo for $17 off the price of the console. signed up for a edge card for $2 on the spot and got the extra 10% trade in values with a grand total of $206.80. awesome price for a jasper console with the built in 256mb memory

  Is this just your EB Games store? I was at my local mall at lunch, and caught a glimpse as I walked past (but didn't bother going in to actually ask)… Their sale was $297 for the Arcade console plus Banjo Kazzoie. Forza 3 wasn't included.

    Okay… I ended up getting one. I'm still undecided if I want to get another one just yet (I want three all up, I have two now), as I'm hoping they'll just keep getting cheaper and cheaper! I want them to act as extenders, not for games. :)
    
    I can confirm that Forza3 gets a $65 discount, however Banjo Kazooie at my store was $17 (not $19). I ended up keeping that one, and just traded in Forza 3.
    
    So I ended up paying $232 for a jasper arcade console + banjo kazooiee.

guys just to let you know as well. the box says 256mb memory but once you boot the console you will have about 384mb available which means 128 is used for dash and total is 512mb

Purchasers will find it annoying that they will need to buy a hard drive to play the second disk of Forza Motorsport 3. So be prepared to pay for a HDD.
