20% off Purchases above £20 on eBay (~ $40AUD), Capped to £50 off (~ $98AUD)

CTWENTY

Hi all,

Thought I would pass this on from and it is expiring at Midnight UK Time:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/vouchers/20-off-ebay-using-promo-c…

I just tried it on a LG G4 and it brought the price down to AU $601.03 delivered (if people need a deal):
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-LG-G4-H815-32GB-4G-LTE-Factor…

Easiest way I found was to search for the item on ebay.com.au then when you're on the item page, change the address to ebay.co.uk and follow on with that.

edit: turns out you can use it from the ebay.com.au site as well, thanks st33p!
Discount capped to around $98AUD in that case, based on a poor conversion rate.

Feel free to post any good deals if you find any as I don't have much time to search at the moment.

The limit as per link above is "Maximum discount of £50 (£250 spend)" and also limited to one transaction.

Thanks all!

Money is merely an illusion of life.

        • @fryandlaurie: lol true.
What is Ozbargain doing to me!!

        • +2

@congngo: Hooking onto your endorphin+dopamine receptors so you are compelled to save that bit of money to get that sweet, sweet release of happy chemicals.

All of it presented in an interface that is appealing and with the ability to communicate and spread information which in this case is the urgency and availability of things that can save you money.

Bugger.. spent to much time adding stuff to my cart.

  • +1

What if we refund the purchase, I think we will receive 100% 'rrp' and take the 20% in our pocket ? Had a 10% ebay code previously and get a full refund as goods was not as expected.

    • +1

No, they will refund you the amount you paid.. Ebay aren't that stupid.

      • I will test it with price match policy of the store and see how much refund that I will receive.

        • But that's not how it works. Say you paid $100 for a box. You paid $80 and eBay paid the discounted $20 and the seller still receives the $100. The seller has no idea you even used a discount code. When you apply for a refund, when the seller presses refund, you get your $80 back and eBay gets its $20 back. No money gain.

      • Yes even got a refund for a faulty item months later and only got back what I actually paid, not the total price.
