  • Anyone spotted elsewhere? I'm hoping to pick up one for my Mum. I'll venture down and check out my local store later.

  • @xpbear do you think you can pick one up for me? im at work in rhodes and maybe come by after?

    • sorry, i am at olympic park..

no dramas thanks! i might have to duck out of work..

  • wish anyone would be able to pick up and post it for me
I will cover the item cost and postage :-P

I called Oxley's Harvey Norman. They have store specific clearances and he believed this was one of them. He also hasn't seen a DS in six months+.
But as he didn't check the computer, it could still be nationwide but extremely limited stock

      Good luck to others.

      • Cheers mate saved me a trip :)

Is anyone able to confirm nationwide?

  • Only one 2ds left. All sold out. Didn't see any XL.

      • Broden*

    • how much was the 2ds selling for

  • rang castle hill + blacktown they don't even have them anymore. im guessing this is old stock and they are trying to get rid of them.

Not that cheap fellas, EBgames have pre-owned ones for $39, they're selling on ebay for around $50.
Sure these are brand new, but Meh, not worth the hoarding that some of these idiots already thought a bagging a massive bargain.
At most they can sell them for no more than $70 as private sale

  • +1

Maybe as a collectors item. Still not sure @ $50.

It might have been cheap three years ago at Dick Smith for $40 each but time has reduced the value significantly, so might not be such a great bargain, considering it's been superseded by three or four generations of new consoles.

    • -1

3 or 4 generations? Try 2 or more accuracy 1.5 - the 3DS and "new 3DS" are all that followed the dsi

  • Should I get one? and sell in in 30 years time as a collectable item. Might fetch around $300-400, it's much better than a term deposit at 6% interest rate anyway.

    • just be careful in 30 years time 300-400 might buy you less than what 49 would today… so you might make a loss.. hehehe

    • If you can remember where you put them in 30 years time, let us know lol

    • Ah damnit, all gone! Broden got them all!

  • Just called them up. They are all gone!

  • Outdated. Look online for a preowned. Most would have had and upgraded as did we to Nintendo 3ds XL. This price i can confirm has been the same at EB GAMES for some time. Their stock just varies..

Ooh look, Tomb Raider for $19!

Wow that particular Harvey Norman store usually sucks the big one - very surprised to see a decent deal coming from them…

  • +1

Is it really that cheap? There are often some 3DS in very good condition for like $50 + a game on Gumtree in WA. Is it because the DS screen has better colour accuracy?

  • Yesterday when i went to store they said they dont have any stock left. But just went to stores now and found one DSi XL (which i took) and two DSis.

    • That's probably bcos i noticed one of the staff was reserving for those calling up and asking them to hold on to them and then they probably never showed up so these were back on the table. Good on yah.

  • I picked 2DS yesterday $59 :) , there was one DSI @ $49 left :)
