    Your link doesn't work.

Edit: Seems to be working now.

    • +1

i just get JSP processing error

  • +3

Can someone please scan in the catalog?

  • +2

A lot of games are in store only. For example: uDraw Pictionary is listed by OP, but: http://dicksmith.com.au/product/YG2799/xbox360-udraw-piction…

Seems like the same thing as the dick sale last week?

  • +1

    Nothing for Wii or DS?

    • Rayman Origins for Wii should be $10 online atm. For DS theres nothing really of note online. 3DS has NFS Run and Sims Pets for $10.

Many of the titles the poster mentions are sold out and have been for some time online. I picked up Driver CE Xbox.

      • Just edited with all the links

        • +1

          All broken.

I don't think you can link them like that.

What are you searching for on the website to generate the links?

I've called around for items that say 'In Stock' on their website and have been told that they don't have any stock. Looks like the staff are hoarding them again. Everyone is going to be bitterly disappointed a la last week's 'sale'.

    • Website is supposedly updated every night @ 9pm or so, so anything purchased during the day wont be reflected on the website until the update in the evening.

Obviously this doesn't mean staff are not hoarding, but it does show how relatively useless the website stock levels are relative to the store you're potentially purchasing from.

      • +4

Even if that were true, that gave them 1.5 hours (I called at 10:30am) to sell off all their stock, which I doubt they would've unless they took it for themselves, considering the sale was originally advertised for tomorrow.

        • +2

I believe you, it happened to me with the G27 deal. Called up, staff says in stock, went there, they said out of stock since the day before. tried to explain to him that I called up 10 mins earlier and was told it was in stock, the guy turned his back, walked away and said "it was out of stock since yesterday"

        • +4

Yep - I think it's reasonable to conclude that most of their staff don't have any sense of business ethics at all. But I guess that is an HR failure if anything.

        • As I said, it doesn't mean they don't hoard what they want. I remember sitting at the front of the gates last week watching a couple staff members walking over to the games section and walking back to the counter with items and placing them behind the counter. For sure it happens, but I'm just pointing out that the website stock levels are pretty useless when it comes to actually determining if stock is available.

        • kheob: I'm pretty sure every single staff member except the squarest of all squares would keep a few copies of stuff they want for themselves if they know they can get away with it. That's the way it is. Either you're a bit naive or just sore you don't get your bargain.

        • +2

No shit, and that's what I'm complaining about. Thanks for the update.

      • +2

It doesn't matter when the Website gets updated. I have doubt that this is a sale. As kheob pointed out, the dse sales are somehow accessible by their staffs, which pretty much eliminates any chances for the public. This was evident by the last infamous 'sale' they had.

I'll keep the mouse pointer hovering on the negative for now :)

        • When I had a chat with the staff at one of the stores, I was told that staff had access up to a week before the public had access to it (This was on the big rush day last week). That being said there are still some bargains to be found after staff have cherry picked the best stuff.

    • ditto

    • Not this time. Staff is not allowed to buy and hoard. I even got some games cheaper than advertised (additional 25% off)- in Brisbane

  • +7

Now all they need is a real web server!

  • +1

    wow!Game sales,good deals!
    arrug!Red cross…out of stocks….

  • +2

Almost all except one or two games are in store only, dont bother trying to get them online, just searched through wii and xbox 360, hope that saves someone a few mins

  • +46

The Dick Smith out of stock sale. check your local store for more dissapointment.

  • +1

I tried adding PCDVD Prince of Persia Sands Of Time Ubisoft Classics for PC which os a dollar to my cart. All I get is a blank page :S

    Edit: Bought it!

    • Wow, an actual bargain from this sale.

$1 for that game is about one cent for every major critic that named it their favourite of all time.

      • North Sydney store had a few of these in stock.

  • +1

Just having a quick look at some ps3 games and it seems that Marion in Adelaide has the most in store stock of the games i have looked at so far.

    • Tons of people are trying to order stuff from the DSE website so its crashing!!!

      • What are they ordering? There's pretty much nothing.

        • +2

          Probably the headphones =).

  • +5

lol just rang roselands for red dead redemption (shows in stock on website) - staff said "it is in stock but it is showing as QT (or something) on our system, which means we CANNOT sell it or we will get sued. We will not be selling this game until further notice".
    LOL
ok then. the whole thing is a joke

    • It's QT till tomorrow so staff don't buy it.

      • does the sale start tomorrow?

      • +3

Doesn't stop them from putting something aside and paying for it later though.

        • +1

Agreed, which is why there will be barely any stock left tomorrow.

        • Or for those who don't trust their friends get their parents to come in and buy it for them.

  • If they said the special starts tomorrow they may have to hold the stock till then.

    • "Gary Rossis Boss: Hope is the only thing stronger than fear." - The Hunger Games
      :)

    • +23

Look out….we got a bad ass here! ;)

    • and you still don't give it a + vote

    • +23

So you just bought a bunch of shit games? You sure showed us.

    • you mean all the junk games? :P take them, take them all!

    • Enjoy your shovelware!

    • Did you manage to get any XBOX UFC Trainer? I was interested in that one, but it was no stock from the get go.

      • No stock near you maybe. Plenty of stock south of Sydney.

  • I have wanted a DSi XL for a long time but the price was always ridiculous. I'll be super happy if I can get one tomorrow.

Something tells me I won't be, though.

    • +2

Yep, that game isn't very good. Might be able to resell them for something, but I don't think it's a particularly hot item.

  • +3

    I'M SUPPOSED TO BE STUDYING!!

    • It's the Easter break!

  • Where is the working link? All I get is the DSE home page with nothing about game sale

    • There's nothing about a gameOn sale or anything on the website. OP states a catalogue but I can't find anything so far.

There are more items in the cheap bin now than yesterday so there are some new bargains to be found.

    • +11

Yea, as if that is going to happen.

    • +36

Please stop commenting - I only get 5 negative votes per day.

      • +4

How about me? I am new here - i don't get to neg vote him.
Can someone that hasn't neg vote him, neg vote him, for me? Ta…

        • +2

I can't negvote him either, but I'll upvote you.

  • +2

none of the good bargains are in stock instore or online, big negative to DSE !~!

    • I beg to differ. However items are not available for sale today, but are available. Many DSi XL in stock locally but can't sell them until 9:00am tomorrow.

      • +3

and you would know how ?

  • +5

wow all these posts and no comments about stock, do oz-bargainers have the memory of a goldfish in the hunt for a bargain?

    • Hehehe I am goldfish

With only dreams and hopes for repeated fail bargains lol

  • People have been told by staff that things aren't showing as "in stock" because they're now "quarantined stock", meaning not even the staff can buy them. Don't know how true that is given the wildly varying things people were told by DSE staff before the last sale.

  • +2

Saw staff with a price list last week removing lots of games off shelf and putting them into a tub and taking them out the back. Wish I'd snapped a pic of the price list. It looked different than the previous 3 page thing.

  • +18

    Fool me once…

  • +1

woo, ubisoft finally made money after giving me all those free games. I liked Prince of Persia so I bought one for a friend @ $1.

  • All I get is session time out when I try checking out.

  • +4

Interesting. I noted the logitech PS3 wheel on sale at the DSE website for $10. No mention of any game sale. Checked store stock (as not available on line) and rang my local DSE to order and pick up. Was told this is not possible as stock had been 'quarantined'.
So took a screen grab of their website so I can follow it up as misleading advertising. It says available, is advertised today at $10 and available in store, and as mentioned no game sale information on the page. They are treading thin ice here to offer a product and then provide some excuse even though stock is available - a suitable definition for misleading advertising.

    • Dumb move to update prices last night, rather than tonight.

      • id like one of those too :)

        • Does it work on the PC ?

    • +3

I phoned West Lakes stores, the cannot sell these today. He was shocked at the $10 price tag, so I guess they going under the counter for tomorrow.

    • I agree, it's bizarre, and you could definitely make a case for the prices being valid now.

    • stores can remove an item from sale at anytime…..more of a problem if they dont have stock for an advertised sale

    • No only the G25/G27 will work with PC Macgyver

  • +4

    Fake

  • +3

Almost everything under $20 (sorry, $19.94) is in-store scraps only. Forget it.

  • -1

I'm confused, who is the real store representive of Dicksmith? Today I saw three Dicksmith sales posted by three different accounts. That makes the deal less trustful, right?

    • +4

You don't have to be a store representative to post a deal you know?

  • +1

Barely anything is available. Pathetic and a scam!

  • +12

My main protest for these Dick Smith sales is that they seem to bring out the worst in us OzBargainers. For the sake of saving a few dollars, some people on here seem to say and do some pretty mean things, and it's only because of the threat of scarcity that this vitriol arises.

I think we can all agree that the OzBargain user community is really excellent, and is one of the biggest strengths of this site. I think we should each remember that when we are dealing with each other and the businesses whose products we wish to purchase.

  • +7

    Web say item in stock.
    Store have no item.
    Dick lie.
    Me sad.

  • +2

    Dicked again, fail sale.

  • +7

    Really, again? STOP REPOSTING THIS.

  • Hopefully this neg will stop someone else wasting a click

  • Got Red Dead Redemption for Xbox. Thanks!

I guess it's really hit and miss with DSE. I got nothing last week, but Im lucky to get something this time.

  • +6

If you cannot buy the items online, I wouldn't take any bargain from DSE as a serious one.

    • +1 - same here…negging this deal
