So i am supposed to pay extra $100+ for the prime version and receive a $100 ebay voucher?

    This is an awesome deal!

  • Yeah lol this is a pretty shitty deal. I'd rather get the $100 voucher for buying something else at the usual selling price and then buy the redmi note from another sell.

  • Hugely jacked up prices just for ebay sale…

Horrible deal. $100 cash in my pocket is better than a $100 eBay voucher.

      LIFE Loves PREMIUM

      And what's with the tagline???

I considered reporting this as SPAM but I'd rather watch this rack up negative votes first

    I'm sorry i'm not paying a $100 extra to save $100

  • Give us a good deal and you'll sell a lot more and make profit … probably make more profit than selling it at this price.

    • +1

Yeah, obviously they too greedy or don't care, with this ebay deals on they can get massive sales through and still make tidy profit if they lowered the price to be more competitive.

  • It would be worth it getting from an Australian dealer if they don't put malware and advertising on like some of the Chinese resellers (I got mine from a JD one). Also I paid $230AUD to get the Note 2 (not Prime) after conversion and getting it shipped a bit faster, so for $55 more and then the $100 voucher it's looks like a good deal.

    • Download miui eu rom and flash it if you're worried about malware from the Chinese stock rom. Takes 5 -10 minutes.

  • $225 for the prime version here… https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/215137
This is the best deal ever, trump's tonylee's post of $2 off or if he is generous $5 off.

  • Everyone should read this before getting a grey import Android mobile phone

    All,

    you are comparing between:

    AU seller vs Chinese seller
2-3 days delivery vs 3-4 weeks delivery
7 days trouble free faulty replacement/refund vs ???
    with freebies vs no freebies

Please also consider the ebay selling fees.

Plus we provide after sales support to all our customers.
    1. we sent all our customers the download link and guide on installing Google play store and also upgrade to MIUI 7 ROM.
    2. Some examples of services that you wont get from a Chinese supplier. One customer bought a prime version and confirmed dead on spot, We arranged replacement with returned express post and all was done within 4 days. One customer had a 16G version for one month and the speaker stopped working. Now we are arranging it sending back to China and get warranty repair claimed for him and then we will arrange it air freight back to Australia. Est. time over all is 2 weeks.

Sometimes these things happen, and even apple or samsung products may have faulty. So is price the only thing to consider?

With current eBay voucher deals, if you can use the voucher wisely, it could be a deal for someone?

PS: The price was not increased for this eBay deal voucher period, which can be checked in sales record.

      AU seller vs Chinese seller

Do you manufacture the phones in Australia or do you import them from China?

2-3 days delivery vs 3-4 weeks delivery

Fair enough. That explains $15 of the $100 price gouge. As reubenb87 above attests to, just pay a bit extra for express shipping from China. NOT $100 extra.

7 days trouble free faulty replacement/refund vs ???

Really? Trouble free? What about this guy who according to your own reply "Not willing to sell" after they validly bought the item from this very same eBay auction? Will you be 'willing to sell' to us OzBargainers??

      with freebies vs no freebies

An AU plug adapter is $1 on eBay. Try harder. Another $1 off the $100 price gouge

Please also consider the ebay selling fees.

NO. Selling fees are YOUR problem. We should NOT pay more for a good just to supplement your eBay selling fees, thus lining eBay's pockets. If you can't make a good offer irrelevant of your selling costs then you shouldn't be posting a deal on OzBargain

we sent all our customers the download link and guide on installing Google play store

The phones from JD come preinstalled with Google Play store.

Some examples of services that you wont get from a Chinese supplier. One customer bought a prime version and confirmed dead on spot, We arranged replacement with returned express post and all was done within 4 days.

Um, I had a similar experience with a Banggood tablet. DOA. It was returned to China via TNT courier at Banggood's cost and I had a replacement within 3 days. Therefore your service could be improved.

One customer had a 16G version for one month and the speaker stopped working. Now we are arranging it sending back to China and get warranty repair claimed for him and then we will arrange it air freight back to Australia. Est. time over all is 2 weeks.

Wow, great customer service. You wouldn't get that from China… oh wait… you're getting the customer to send back your goods to China? I thought you were based in Australia? Isn't that why you want us to pay more???

So is price the only thing to consider?

C'mon REP, you're not a noob here. You know the score. On OzBargain price is not the only thing, but it sure tops the list. Giving away money on massively overpriced goods so that business owners can feed their family is waaaaaaaaaaay down the list.

      Better luck next time REP

  • I feel sorry for the Rep, he/she came to the wrong site. You've read the comments, now a good deal will be highly appreciated.

  • Why is there such a massive price difference between the prime and older version? It's 10 USD on most sites.
