EDIT 2: Offer extended for another 24 hrs. I guess they haven't picked up the error yet.

For example SAVE15 gives you $30 discount, SAVE20 gives you $40 discount and SAVE50 gives you $50 discount

Team up with your Ozbargainer friend, room mate, family member, etc or you can even ebay it, and get a Getflix lifetime (30 years) subscription at a bargain price.

Thanks to marquise, Proof, this is a decent deal as it takes $30 off total .

Keep in mind this is the cheapest you would probably ever get for a Getflix Subscription

Steps for Double discount

  • Add any of the same 2 products in cart and checkout only 2 products at a time
  • For orders > $50, apply code SAVE15 for $30 discount. For orders > $100, apply code SAVE20 for a $40 discount. And for orders > $150, apply code SAVE25 for a $50 discount.

If you add more than than 2 items of the same, you wont get the double discount.

  • Why do we need two subscriptions. Is single subscription has very restrictive limitation.
    Thanks.

    • Mainly to let 2 people use the service at the same time.

  • +21

Or use them both and live twice as long….

  • Anyone who trys can we add to a current account or have to make a new one?

EDIT: sorry, just click the link and realised its the same deal as previously, now just a voucher code.

    • +1

i think its for new accounts only, but its not hard to open a new account

      TERMS
      All sales final
      Instant digital redemption
      NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY

EDIT: sorry, just click the link and realised its the same deal as previously, now just a voucher code.

      But $12 cheaper per subscription

      • +1

Cheers EC, sorry to muck you around.

  • +1

I get $39 for 1, & then a pop up saying 10% off your first stack social purchase.
So new stack social a/c + new getflix a/c = $35 for one lifetime Getflix a/c

These lifetime deals make me suspicious about the businesses long term viability. But I suppose if you7 get 2yrs out of it, it's very cheap

    • That's in USD, so it becomes AU$48.50

      • If you buy 2 with this deal then it's $33.50 aud each.

Pretty sure you can find someone who would want to share this deal with you

      • Ah thanks, it was pre-coffee when the brain sees dollars as dollars.

  • +2

not really lifetime, but 30 years is enough

    • +6

yep - because internet companies tend to last a long time.

  • Is this some glitch, as we're supposed to only be getting $15 off right? Not complaining of course :)

    • +2

Yep it's a glitch so be quick before they fix it

  • I'm after one too, how does it work? How does someone sell you one - do you give them your email address to use, and then only you can access that second account?

    • Okay I figured it out, I'll make another post.

  • +4

Getflix must be getting desperate or don't intend on staying around too long and want a quick money grab.

That or they are trying to gain market share before an IPO ;)

    • I don't think they will be around in 3 years.

    • The pump before the dump

      • +1

At the prices they're at the moment, most people won't even bother complaining when they dump the service in 2 years.

        • Agreed, I just have to work out if they have enough legs beyond my free 6 month Presto subscription to warrant buying this.

Having said that, in my anecdotal experience the pumping and dumping means they are looking to boost their subscribers in a hope that someone comes along and buys them out. If that's the case, you may find another company picking them up and honouring the deal, at least partially

  • +1

So if I have Getflix, I should just buy a new subscription on another email because existing customers can't buy lifetime deals?

    • Has anyone tried?

      • +2

When I did this last time (upgraded my one-year account with a lifetime sub), I gave my parents the login to my one-year sub, and created a new account for myself. :)

        • giggidy

  • +8

Yeah if this is not a blatantly obvious sign that the service is in it's final days, I don't know what is.

    • Maybe, but it could also be that they have the infrastructure running and the incremental cost of adding people is very low so they figure they can haul in a bunch of people who will buy it because it is a deal and never actually use it.

It does seem pretty likely to cannibalise the existing subscriber base though, so it might be the beginning of the end…

      • +1

They did this before, and the service is still running fine…. I was a normal member of Getflix prior to getting a lifetime sub during the last sale.

        • Same - people are being a tad melodramatic with the whole 'service coming to an end' thing…

        • @Willowtea:
I should point out I bought a subscription too, so clearly I'm not convinced it is the beginning of the end =)

    • +1

I agree that it's a common fatal business error.
You start spending revenue you haven't yet received, like when you borrow, but unlike borrowing, you're destroying and discounting your future revenue sources.

  • bought.

  • Does this mean you would also have to pay Netflix for example for their subscription? Or does Getflix give you access to Netflix without paying Netflix anything? Seem to me that Getflix is just a geo unblocking service? Has anyone accessed Netflix this way without paying Netflix anything? Thanks

    • geo unblocking only

      • So can this be used for anything that requires geo unblocking? Like a regular VPN

        • +1

only for geo unblocking of services they can e.g netflix, prime etc. But getflix do give you a 1 user VPN service in addition.

    • If you look at the site, or literally any previous deals it makes it clear that this is just geo-unblocking (and VPN) and you still need a Netflix sub…

  • By lifetime, they mean 30 years. still a good price.

  • Applied this to a new account and it works … "Active (10972 days remaining)"

  • thanks OP! my getflix was about to expire in 15 days. used your referral link :)

    • used your referral link :)

Thank you … and thanks to the other 3 people who used my link too

  • +1

I just woke up… thanks for posting
I didn't want to call too much attention to it too early in case they fixed it quickly. So I was being sneaky sneaky

Can't stack with your referral credit or other codes. If you get an error, you have to clear your cart and add back for it to work.

    • Can confirm - tried to stack with the 10% off new StackSocial account email code. Kept getting an error.
Just refreshing the checkout page let me enter the SAVE15 code again though.

  • Looks like they have fixed it. I am getting $100.67 at checkout

    • Still working . Just tested

Stack social are probably trying to figure out why everyone is buying 2 subscriptions

      • false alarm. Working great thanks.

  • +2

Is it possible to cancel / deactivate a getflix account. Can't find it in the options anywhere.

Signed up for a new account and added this promo, but then id like to cancel/deactivate my old account and then change this new over to my regular email address (which is currently tied to my old getflix account).

  • +1

Really have to wonder if you could get $60 off 3 x subs using SAVE20 lol

  • After getting this service, how do I chose if I want to watch UK or US Netflix.?

    • Just sign into the Netflix website you wish . Getflix will do the rest automatically I assume if it's anything like smartyDNS

      • And this is a good deal? Hmmm, on my own and wondering what to do with the other subscription.

    • +1

In the Getlfix settings or app you can select which region you want for various services

  • also worth noting that Netflix also offer full VPN through the same subscription if you want/need it.

  • +2

So anyone know if there VPN service is any good, and if they keep records?

  • I paid with PayPal so cancelled the old account and automatic payment from PayPal page.

  • hey so i know what this does but could any one tell me what kind of shows and movies you can stream? can i get like person of interest?

    • +2

try to use flixsearch.io to search the entire netflix global catalog you can then switch to that country or region using getflix

  • have or want?

  • +2

Lol, looks like everyone trying to sell their other subscription is getting shut down for private selling. That's pretty harsh

  • Crap. I didn't realise that this is for new or trial accounts. I have existing account. Looks like I'll have to sign up with a new email address

    </annoyed>

  • still working.

  • If anyone has one they want to sell, please put it here so it can be purchased.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/classified

  • whats the price after discount. how is the Save15, Save20 and save25 work? I can only get Save10 working that bring the prices down to US$70
I'm looking to by 2 accounts

    • Steps

      • Add any of the same 2 products in cart and checkout only 2 products at a time
      • For orders > $50, apply code SAVE15 for $30 discount. For orders > $100, apply code SAVE20 for a $40 discount. And for orders > $150, apply code SAVE25 for a $50 discount.

If you add more than than 2 items of the same, you wont get the double discount.

  • +1

    Guys.. USD14 each!

I've managed to buy 4 of them for USD56 (USD14 each), using the SAVE20 coupon (or SAVE25 coupon, I can't remember). It was a total of USD156 minus USD100 discount. And yes.. I do need 4 of them for a few family members.

    • +2

      lol. Updated title

    • Well done, great find

  • Netflix could block getflix at some point but they've been cool with it for a long time now. I don't expect them to block anytime soon, so a lifetime getflix sub still seems worth it. Getflix also supports more than just netflix.

    • In a way it's already happened, with some devices and apps forcing the use of Google DNS servers. With the workaround being you block Google DNS servers.

  • If purchasing a subscription code from another member, can I enter the code into my existing account or do I have to set up a new account as well?

    • I used it on my existing expired account and it worked.

  • Ok got Getflix , but found Netflix almost the same with Aus ver. What do you guys use Getflix for ? Did I waste my money cause American $ is high renting iTunes movie coast about $9. Any ideas using it .

    • This site shows what shows are available on the US Netflix.. For example The walking dead and Cosmos. http://www.allflicks.net/

      • moreflicks.com is another good one.

      • I use flixsearch.io (was previously netflixaroundtheworld.com). Shows what countries a title is available in, not just US ones.

    • +1

You can also try out the JustWatch app (android and ios) to see what is new/popular etc. You can easily change the region within the app to see what is available for each region

  • +2

I think it's a smart move on their part. Seems like every few weeks there is a new VPN or DNS unblocker being announced. I can't imagine in 3 years time unblockers costing more than $5/year.

Also, while they might technically run the service for 30 years, they may stop updating it to the point where it is useless. It takes a tremendous amount of work to keep unblockers working every time Netflix or whoever makes the slightest change to their servers or apps. I use the original unblock-us, and they're already starting to give up…. they don't even support Android TV, which cuts out all new Sony TVs.

  • Anyone know how long before u have to redeem the coupons on getflix? Want to give it to a friend in the future

    • 30 days from the purchase date.

  • Great price - can't wait to try it out later on.

  • If I get a code now, do I have to activate it straight away? My uflix subscription doesn't expire until March next year.

    • You get 30 years so might as well activate straight away :)

      • Yeah, I did it yesterday. Having said that, for anyone invested interested, the terms on stack social also said the code needs to be used within 30 days of purchase.

  • Cheers for the deal OP. Tried to buy a sub through the forums, but in the end was easier just to buy my own and sell off the rest at cost.

Does anybody have any experience with the VPN service Getflix provides. Any good?

  • Does this compare with Unblock-us where I can access Hulu and Netflix US ?

  • Am I able to use this to watch bbc and itv?

    • Yes.

  • Can someone pls confirm that Getflix allows P2P sharing?

  • +2

I can't seam to add more then one to cart? Am I doing something stupid?

    • Think they caught onto it.

    • I'm having the same problem, anyone successfully buying multiples of these now?

    • I'm having the same problem, anyone successfully buying multiples of these now?

  • Unfortunately StackSocial has asked us to remove all the classified ads reselling Getflix lifetime license, as it is against their terms of use. Please see merchant take down request. Therefore,
