100 Qantas Points for 20 Second Survey Relating to Qantas New Health Insurance

780

Qantas has new health insurance product coming out in association with NIB.
You need to decide if it worth 100 points to be potentially harassed to join their health fund.
The survey itself is three questions, all targeted at selling you health insurance.
Fairly borderline in value though…100 points for a marketing lead is not a great reward.

what is 100 points worth in cents?

    • 100

      • -2

        so 1 dollar?

        • +2

thereabouts. unless you plan on upgrading a fully flexible economy Qantas fare to business, in which case this would be worth nearly $6!!

        • You need 384,000 points for a return flight to London in first class…..so with the 100 points offered here should be in London by next summer, maybe.
That said….100 points is generally valued at about $1…hence the 'borderline' comment in the description.

        • @adamp:

100 points might get you from the gate onto the aircraft!

100 points? I want my 5s back for reading the title.
Btw 100 points is worth about 50c if swapped for gift cards.

wow. some of the deals on ozbargain these days…really scraping the bottom of the barrel

  • +1

    21 Seconds indeed

    Ozbargainer, every sec counts

    • +3

      Indeed
      20 sec = $1
      60 sec = $3
      60 minutes = $180 per hour

      Money for old rope!

  • +1

    Joke post?

  • +7

The Business Class Korean Air deal is too rich for OzB, and a 100 point survey is too weak. Gees OzBargainers are starting to sound like a bunch of Goldilocks!

I'm happy to take the points, thanks OP.

    • agreed, 100 points for a 30 second survey vs not spending 30 seconds and not getting 100 points

  • +6

100 points are probably worth less than $1. More like 65 to 70 ct, depending on how you spend it. Gift cards usually have the lowest value, while business class upgrades give you the most bang for your points. 100 points can be worth up to $8 when spent for business class upgrades.
If you don’t want to spend a minute to give your personal details away for insurances sales, be contacted at least three times for different insurance products and have your details sold to various business partners, all just to earn $0.65, you are on the wrong website. I am in!

  • "Please enter a mobile contact number."
Errr no thanks…. 100 points are not worth getting marketing calls etc etc

    • +2

c'mon…think of how useless 100 points could be….you could afford a trip to nowhere, with nobody!

    • +2

      it accepted a fake number.

    • Enter own number. First call too busy. load number in contact group marketing do not accept.

    Thanks!

"Points will not expire provided you earn or use points (excluding family transfers) at least once every 18 months"

For someone with hundreds of thousands of points, this survey is a convenient way to reset the clock (keeping points alive).

  • Will I get points if I left a fake mobile number? Which is what I did.
